If you do it right, incredibly effective. You enter euphoria in seconds and pass out shortly after due to your blood vessels being closed off. Actually it seems that the video is impossible to find anymore, I've been searching for it but it seems like it's been entirely removed from the internet. Even searching for it only seems to bring me to weird Chinese websites and other really obscure places. I found a few forum posts talking about it but every single link to the video leads to a dead page now. I did find a YouTube channel which had a brief clip of the video and here's a picture of that, maybe someone here will recognize it and will have the video.
But a basic synopsis of it from my memory; he walks in, ties the rope/cord to the doorknob, puts his head through, and lays/crouches down. Within a very short amount of time his face changes red and he starts seizing like mad. I don't know if he was dead already but it's like 2-3 minutes straight of his body violently convulsing and seizing around as his face turns purple. It was a very difficult video to watch.
But yeah, it is a possible way of suicide no doubt.
If anyone wants to do their own research I believe his name was Markus/Marcus Jannes or something like that, different websites report it with different spelling. He was Swedish I'm pretty sure, so maybe if you speak their language you will find more results.
