How do I use uber/lyft? Is there some unspoken rule?
Why do I always overthink these things
How do I use uber/lyft? Is there some unspoken rule?
dont sit in front, tip (in app) and 5 star it unless it is shit. (coming from a lyft driver)
>tip
Hahaha you wish. Unless the driver gives me a blowjob I will NEVER tip. But ye otherwise good advice, I learned not to sit in the front the hard way it took me a painfully long time to understand why all my drivers seemed so annoyed.
Is it weird I always sit in the front and dont talk at all? I once told this to my friend once discussing uber and he said that im extremely socially unaware.
I feel like sitting in the back degrades the driver and by sitting in the front we are put on the same level. dont speak so they arent uncomfortable.
Seriously, how is this something you overthink? You open the app, put in your destination, get in the car and go. It's not rocket science.
Like.. you don't even say hello? You just get in silently and sit next to the driver?
Yeah see I did the exact same thing for the same reason as you. I viewed it as an equality thing, I found sitting in the back to be stuck up and rude, but as I said in the above post I stopped doing that because I realized I was annoying drivers with my behavior.
Basically it boils down to this: if it's a girl/female driver, they probably don't want you in the front with them if you're a weirdo (you're posting here so...). If it's a guy, they probably don't care either way, usually. I think sitting in the back is the "safe" choice, in that no one will get too offended over it if you do that. Sitting in the front is more risky because while they may not care or might even prefer it, there's also a notable percentage of drivers who get salty as fuck about that. Especially if you're a sperg.
I would get in and say hi, then stare out the window the rest of the ride without talking. To be fair, i always carpool so usually once more people get in the car the awkwardness goes away and they all talk to each other
sorry for the late response user i and most other lyft/uber drivers regard it as less of a friendly car-pool but more as a taxi service. also it is our shit job so its best if you just keep if professional.
>tip (in app)
HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHHAHA
I never sit in the front but why does it bother them?
I once sat in the front with a Turkish Uber driver and he unironically started flirting with me.
I don't know dude, normies are fucking weird about stuff like that. It's too familiar I guess, to sit in the front.
I like having my shit in front and the customer behind also it is my car after all
I have a physical outdoorsy type job and I sometimes use Uber to get home from work. It's fun to see my rating drop slightly every time I do this. I assume it's because the asshole drivers don't like me getting in their shitty cars with my dirty work clothes on. I've seen them give me a look of disappointment as they see me walk to their car. I'm sorry but not everyone can work in an office or a store. Fucking assholes. This is why I'll never tip. If they want everyone to travel on their terms then I'm gonna travel on my own terms, i.e. never tipping.
yea some are shitty like that i clean it out everyday.
Wait Uber gives ratings to its users? What kind of bullshit is that?
Yes and it's necessary to keep a standard of professionalism. People have a tendency to act like complete lunatics if they think they can get away with it. I'm not sure how low your rating has to be to actually make a difference, but literally every driver just 5 stars you unless you're doing something waaay out of line. Only person who needs to worry about a low rating from drivers is probably some subhuman retard who can't control their basic urges. Basically just don't start shouting, don't get violent, idk maybe don't piss or shit or vomit in the car and things should be allgood
Some drivers will give you a lower rating, maybe a 3, if you stink of smoke, have dirty clothes (like the guy above) or even if you don't tip.
But yeah I'm pretty sure you have to be a real piece of shit to get a 1.
My rating is 4.67 I think. I've read that if your rating drops below 4.5 then drivers will actively start rejecting you.
>dirty work clothes
>I'll never tip
Ok you're just an asshole, then. If there's ever a reason to tip it would be exactly this: you're making more work for them by sitting your dirty ass down in their car.
I just checked apparently I'm 4.9. Just wondering who the hell gave me less than 5 stars and for what purpose
this is some black mirror shit my dudes
Fuck sitting in the back, all cars have way better AC in the front
My Lyft rating is apparently 5, they keep sending me discounts for it.
>tfw worried someday someone will rate me 4 and ruin it forever
Mine is at 4.8 stars which isn't too bad as I mostly use uber when me and my friends are drunk as fuck
