How are you guys handling it so far? No more (((triclosan))) no more (((fluoride))). I’m already starting to feel more free more confident more energetic
/NBN/ No brush November general
Haven't brushed in like 5 years so I guess I'm alright
Retard
I haven't used (((toothpaste))) in over a month. Teeth are still the same, I brush and either swish coconut oil in my mouth (it turns antibacterial when saliva breaks it down), or saltwater.
Also don't use hair products or body products anymore. I take a bath in instant coffee, milk and water. My hair is so good now.
Only put things on your skin, hair and mouth that you can eat, as a rule of thumb.
Post pics of how pretty you are boy or I won't believe a damn word you're saying
Yall are retarded, I'm a dentist. Brush your fucking teeth.
Protip for those of you that don't go to the dentist - if you wait until you've got tooth pain, you've waited too long. That tooth is going to need endo or an extraction.
Insurance covers preventative 100% but most only cover endo and restorative at 50% so you're still going to be paying ~$800 for a root canal and crown.
My dentist told me I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed 4 years ago and I told him to fuck off. My teeth are fine
Jesus, brush your fucking teeth. Skip on toothpaste with triclosan, fluoride is fine!
What is the best tooth paste/ dental care routine Mr dentist?
how old are you? are they grown in? Impacted? halfway grown in? lots of variables but the standard of care is to prophylactically remove because your bone will continue to get more and more dense in your jaw which will lead to complications trying to get them out later in life.
I'm 26, still have mine too but they're impacted and will definitely cause problems in the future. The problem is in my pan I can see the roots are communicating with my IAN nerve and I'm afraid of losing feeling in my jaw.
best routine is consistency, just like lifting. Doesn't matter too much what you use but brush twice a day and google Modified Bass technique for brushing.
I used to brush too aggressively swiping back and forth on my teeth which is terrible for your gums and I've got some recession from it. Get a soft bristle toothbrush and replace it every 3 months. I use a cheapo electric brush Wellness sonic brush I think is what it's called
I'm an actual dentist. The other guy doesn't know what he's talking about. It has less to do with your brushing and more to do with your diet. If you avoid sugary foods you don't have to brush.
Where'd you go to school
> taking a bath in a giant mug of coffee
Does the caffeine get absorbed up your butt?
UF
Mouthwash before or after brushing?
This is a test to see if you're larping.
here, you should brush with mouthwash. As you brush it will open up new spaces for the mouthwash to sanitize. It will help get rid of bad breath as well.
also I forgot to add that you should point the bristles at a 45 degree angle down the shaft of the tooth, especially useful if you have a long shaft. Like I said before though, it's all about diet. If you drink alcohol or soda you should brush. Otherwise it's useless.
>over a minute to reply
>I’m a doctor
It's any fermentable carbohydrates. So yeah if you're on keto you might be able to get away with it but simply saying if you avoid sugary foods you don't have to brush is a borderline breach in of veracity and beneficence. Read your ethics handbook.
My shaft is only average :(
Was told to get them removed at 16 cuz they were "impacted". 20 now
I've been brushing with baking soda for two years and have not had a single cavity in any of my checkups.
Jesus dude idk what they teach you at UF. I bet you work at Aspen.
I value privacy more than whether an anonymous stranger finds me attractive or not. In the past I've been rated a 7, if that's anything.
No, but it gets absorbed by my skin, as does the rest of the goodness in the coffee, like the antioxidants -- it feels really refreshing. Also, the protein in milk repairs hair.
Or you could tell them what the 45 degree method is called which is what I did.
"Otherwise it's useless." I really hope you're just trolling. Like I said, remember this book you got your very first year? Read it again.
>to imply I don't have to stare at the screen every second with my fingers at the ready to type (like most dentists do). Don't be foolish.
Right about fermentable carbohydrates, the truth is that it's nearly impossible to eat a diet that requires no brushing, hence I never give that advice out, but bring it up on occasion.
oh i'm sure it's not that bad ;)
lol I do
laugh it up
first letter
here. Yea I live under a bridge. What IS the 45 degree method called?
also is Aspen that bad? Should I find a new dentist?
This comment alone is the reason I know you're stuck working corporate. "The other guy doesn't know what he's talking about."
Your immediate dismissal of sound advice from a colleague shows you'll never develop professional relationships good enough to run your own private practice.
Fucking brits. Thats gross af. Do tis, go to sleep, have a breakfast and go check in a mirror your gums, they will be full of this white gooey shit, thats bacteria and all sorts of disgusting shit. No wonder most of you faggots are perma khv.
Modified Bass Technique
Aspen isn't BAD per se but they're corporate driven and the dentists have to produce. I take a conservative approach and a borderline incipient cavity that I may "watch" and see if it progresses in 6mo will 9/10 times be filled immediately at an Aspen office
lol in this post I admitted to trolling. I'm actually a public policy student who's about to go to the gym in 20 minutes and get swole. That attitude does suck though; I see it in my field all of the time and it's frustrating.
sounds cool, and thanks for the advice on Aspen. I use the modified bass technique and actually do floss. I'm a meat eater and don't want that stank breath.
Lmao I was sitting there like wtf does this guy mean "first letter"
Good bait
