creep on thots or twinks
whatever way you swing

You should just do one long consecutive set comprising of all your exercises and finish your gym session in a fraction of the time.

you could use your phone and browse fit or something

90 seconds seems a bit excessive. I usually go for 45-60 and I look for a new song to listen to on my phone in that time

if you need to think about what to do when resting, you haven't exercised hard enough

listen to music, stare at the timer on my phone, think of stuff

>not reading philosophy books between sets for those brain gains

Read the Bible and Greek philosophy.

i speak to the polis

Also, is 90 seconds too long to rest between sets of pullups/pushups? Shorter time means I can't do nearly as much per set which seems counterproductive.

I play a game of bullet chess which is 60 seconds per side, sometimes makes breaks a bit longer than they should be but it refreshes me better than anything else

Biggest reddit crossfit inspirational bullshit I've heard in a while.

>90 seconds rest between sets of pullups/pushups

Why?

Practice your air guitar/drums. The more enthusiastic the better.

>90 seconds
idk maybe start lifting for strength
or just fully commit to being a faggot and go on hormone replacement

>there is only one end-all optimal rest interval length
this board is full of retards

take shorter rests

that or superset some abs and shit in between.

This tbqh

I play a little Vidya on my phone.

I usually read or browse wheyfu threads if I need an extra pump.

>not being neet for years until you get brain fog and can just stare into space with dead eyes

helicopter your dick

Jack off

>never lifting heavy
>never resting more than three minutes
Are you faggots for real

Long rests on heavy compounds, otherwise you don't need to fucking sit around for ever.

I've figured the more reps you do, the less you should rest. If you're lifting heavy 3x5, you need 3-5 minutes rest. If you're doing 6-8, do 2 minutes rest, 8-12 do 60-90 seconds

Realize that most people employ brosplits and calisthenics and call it lifting. Nothing wrong with calisthenics, but if you're lifting for entertainment, you'll likely never get very far.

in terms of pullups, I do 90 seconds rest if unweighted or 3 minutes weighted. If you can only do 5 reps at the moment, take the longer rest until you can do 3 sets of 8, then you can either do shorter rests or start adding weight and continue working in the 5 rep range

That's a pretty solid scheme, but you should read up on the dominant fatigue mechanisms for certain rep ranges.
>1-4: 3-5
>5-8: 3
>8-12: 2
>12+: as short as possible
Depends on the muscle groups, too.

I'm pretty much pulling this out of my ass, too. Experiment with rest intervals, but you won't hurt yourself by going too long like you will by going too short.

I do this too

One resting second at a gym has more value than 10 years of Jow Forums

Say some prayers to Jesus in between sets

>not writing philosophy books between sets for those brain gains

youre a bitch and you dont lift. fuck off

amazing that you figured this out and it wasnt standard lifting knowledge for decades

This

But also I do both at same time

Sometimes I rest up to 10 min if I have to, what's the benefit of going only 60 or 90? Seems like you can't lift as heavy since you're tired each set. Also I'm not rushed by anyone at the gym since I lift at home.

I'm sure all of you have bad days where that bar you're supposed to squat feels way too heavy, do you just give up and deload after 1 set, or risk injury or failure by not resting enough?

I literally rest 5 minutes between sets (5x5's). I have a home gym so i usually psych myself up and shit getting ready for the next set and walk around punching my chest likea retard. But it helps desu

>not engaging in rhetoric with your fellow lifters to try and pin down the deeper philisophical meaning of life and lifting

Personally I look at gym thot titties between sets.
