Thanks, for a bit of context I stopped working out for about 4 months and started back up a couple of months ago.
In that period I think I gained a good 5-7kg, which I know I need to work off. I've been a bit lazy though and haven't upped my cardio to compensate. My goal is to lose that weight in preparation for a police entrance exam in a couple of months which apparently has a BMI requirement 27.5 otherwise you get dismissed (which seems kinda ironic since plenty of cops are fat fucks).

Eat less and start plateuing your legs, when your waist trims down. The proportions will be off. Reduce caloric intake, maybe even to the point of cutting.
