look up resistance training, ddp yoga. you can recover all movement on joints.
Get more flexible. Foam roll and stretch. If strength isn’t important to you then dont squat.
just don't do deadlifts whatever you do. you will fuck up your lower back bad.
What you should do is things to improve your flexibility (like stretching exercises for AT LEAST 15 minutes every day) instead of trying to force yourself to do an exercise you clearly can't do right now.
Alternately if you can't (or won't) improve your flexibility, use alternate exercises like leg press, leg curl, weighted step-ups, weighted calf raises, and so on, that accomplish the same things.
Freebar squats are, objectively, not for everyone, and if there are legitimate physiological reasons why you can't do them properly, then you need to not let your ego get in the way of making the gains you want to make.
stop posting here pls
im not into machines. Im into bodyweight exercises. Or using the whole body like squats and deadlifts.
Listen.. people will always look for easier/faster methods with things but even tho you're almost twice my age I'm gonna share some wisdom with you
If you want to squat better.. do more squats.
stretch, retard
i seem to do well for awhile. Then get some knee/calf pain. Idk if i should lift every day or what
Okay.. listen, guy, I'm not trying to insult you here, I'm trying to help a brother out, but I think you're letting your pride and ego get in the way of your common sense. Neither one of us are teenagers or twenty-somethings anymore, and everything I said in the previous comment still applies. You need to at least do stretching exercises every single day to see if you can improve that. Go look at a book by a guy named Alter called 'Sport Stretch'. Try stretching every day for at least a month then see if you have an easier time with freebar squats. It's very possible that you just can't improve it enough to do them properly though, and if so then you're going to have to put your pride aside and make compromises to get where you want to go. Okay?
You can't work the same muscle groups like that every day, especially when you're over 40, your recovery time is longer than someone who is half your age and that's just a physiological reality. It's a natural reaction to think "I should just train harder" but you'll just make things worse.
Work on stretching like I said above. Get someone to check your squat form to be sure you're doing it right. You might need to do some special work to address the knee pain problem, or you might just need more recovery time between squat days. Might even need adjustments to your diet. Or maybe you're just plain trying to do too much. Any number of factors involved. I'd think about also consulting with a trainer to check some things out.
Hackasquat machine.
And that other squat machine with the handlebar breaks
Focus on Joint mobility(Hip, ankle, knee) and PNF stretching.
If the guy is barely flexible enough to do squats, he is going to deadlift with a rounded back and injure his spine you fucking mongoloid.
you're way too old for deadlifts or 1RM/3RM do light squats stretch and do a lot of cardio
i dont deadlift with rounded back idiot. I told you to stop posting here
Are you OP? If your hamstrings/hips are not flexible enough to squat properly, you ARE deadlifting with improper form and you WILL fuck up your back, especially at your age.
Stretch every day. Hips, quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, calves, shoulders and upper back are the most important to stretch for squat.
i keep a neutral spine when i deadlift. Just go away faggot
>being this triggered by someone who is trying to help you
who hurt you, buddy?
squat everyday in the morning with out waits.
get the technique right
trolling belongs on /b
Do some yoga.
If you're seriously too inflexible to squat you need help.
It's probably fairly normal at your age, but let's try to be better than normal.
