Nigga if you're not running barefoot you're doing it wrong
i bought some new running shoes today
idk what style they are i don't really pay attention to that stuff but they're apparently designed for "neutral running"
regardless they fit so incredibly perfectly, it's insane, these are like literally built for my feet it feels like, i'm so happy about it
/Thread (?)
I like Softstar shoes. I have the primal runamocs. I do every exercise in them that doesn't rhyme with squat or pendlay row
minimalist
I thought this until I realized that I don't want to stay in the same place forever and rethicken my skin a million times over
These are pretty cool. I'm gonna use my merrells to toughen up and build up my foot muscles by short distance running, and then switch to my nikes for longer distance runs.
Look like dance shoes.
Really worth the investment though?
recently invested in a pair of Altra runners for getting into marathon running. I love them, i could never go back to wearing heavy padded shoes again
I didn't actually know Merrels made running shoes like that, I always thought it was just trail running and hiking boots.
I've heard they're very popular for trail runners and sneaky peaky special forces
Merrell vapor glove 3
But every Altra has a heavy padding.
Some of the other models are a bit less padded, the zero drop gives it a lot more natural feel though than a lot of overly padded shoes

Honestly, user
Still more than 20mm of EVA between your feet and the ground.
Sedentary guy here. I want to get into running. How should I look for a running shoe? A lot of people in shoe stores here don't know what they are talking about, so I need to know how to recognize a good shoe for running.
I'm a vapor glove guy. My feet are strong as fuck, my SUP skills have improved dramatically. Calves are rocking too. Just remember to keep training your glutes aside from running.
>minimalistic shoes
What
>fits very comfortably on your foot especially in all the positions your foot will be in while running
>never too tight but not too loose either
>page of the shoe's model on website mentions features in its design for runners
>ideally has a sole that won't slip on surfaces while your run
>again: how comfortably the shoe fits your foot
People will argue about minimalist/maximalist/zero drop/etc shoes but there's reasons to use any type so just use what works for your body.
I have a few running shoes that aren't really "professional running shoes" but feel better for my feet and legs because they fit my foot better than most other shoes ever have.
Personally I'll like almost any running shoe with a stretchy socklike upper, wide toebox, and cushy midsole but what you might like could be different so go to a running store, try on different pairs, and try jogging for a bit in them
Thank you for the input.
