ITT: What you’re studying and how many other students lift, how many other students are fat, and how friendly most people are

>Law school
>I’m the only lifter in my year (at least it seems that way)
>only one fat guy and one fat girl in my year. A handful of chubbyish people, but most girls are super skinny and the guys are all skinnyfat
>literally all but two people I’ve spoken to were incredibly friendly, and one of those two was still mice to me (I saw him being a cunt to others). I’ve seriously never been around such a concentration of nice people

Also a law student, with firm offer, looking forward to that biglaw life ($190K/yr).

Maybe ~15% of people talk about going to the gym, but not sure how many actually do or do so in a way that makes a difference. I do know I'm in the top 10% in terms of both fitness and fashion. Clothing mires daily, a fitness compliment every ~2 weeks.

Is it true law school has a 95% virginity rate?

Class of 2018 grad here. Graduated to make 65k USD/year at a General Contracting company.

>Construction management
>a good amount of people of both genders lifted/did cardio
>quite a few fatties. Most of them were the redneck type
>most were pretty chill, even the sororistutes. It was a normie major full of chads, rivaling business

Hope to get an MBA in the future, specifically with a marketing focus. Any advice for me anons?

>computer science

I'm studying math, and idk much about how the other students are. I keep to myself. I have seen a few dyels wearing tank tops to show off their non-existent gains, and in one of the philosophy classes that I'm taking for my minor there is a guy that was posting on misc during a lecture one time.

Also a law student, but looking at that chill public law academic life.

>Decent number lift, but only a handful take it seriously.
>No seriously fat people. Most are average, guys and girls both.
>The vast majority aren't really friendly. They're pretty fake and put up a nice front just to get on your good side. I'm the head of a major law society this year and people who've literally ignored my existence for the past 2 years are crawling out of the woodwork to chat me up. It's disgusting. That having been said, there are genuinely decent people around.

Are you kidding? Law students fuck like rabbits, with each other and everyone else (because surprise surprise, everyone wants the hot lawyers with huge earning potential).

>sweet girl, want her to sit on my face

Just as well, being in a profession and school dominated by women means there is so much gossip and cattiness that getting involved with one right now would be a nightmare. The guys are all total bros except one Armenian faggot, the girls are nice to everyone except each other.

Everyone is skinnyfat or fat except for myself and one other guy that lifts.

In a 4 year machinist/engineer tradeschool/college ungodly hybrid thing. Hate it. Should have studied history like I wanted and gone to law school afterwards even though it would have left me with massive debt and probably a mediocre job as there's no way in hell i could've gotten in the top 14. My program is all male. Majority are skinnyfat DYEL. Some real lanklets. Handful of really fat ones. I'm 6' 220 lbs and started lifting three months ago because I was disgusted how I look and how most people around me look. Most don't have a personality to speak of whatsoever. The few that do are just shit people. Not bad people, but the kind who like to hear themselves talk and constantly run on about shit that no one fucking cares about, they just talk for the sake of talking. Please deliver me from this hell.

Sounds cool. What u learn about?

Firefighter-Paramedic.

Taking a two quarter hybrid lecture series for flight certs. Everyone is decent weight/height and active. Location in the country and lol weight and size limits for work on helicopter.

When I go to fire classes its hit or miss. Not to shit on volunteers but you get your fatties. The more intense the course and technical and career oriented the fitter. Love going to those and seeing the bagels and muffins go untouched as everyone brought their own fuel.

>Political Science
>Almost half. its worse in women then men

>very few noticeable obese fucks, plenty of skinnyfats, pretty sure Im the only strongfat around
>Even the physics majors are more social than us, previous years apparently were a lot more social with eachother. Genuinely an atmosphere of mediocrity permeates it despite it being one of the best programs in canada (not saying much clearly)
Im prolly gonna transfer this year, was originally gonna be at one of the meme schools until I divebombed my final semester marks, no amount of perfect ACT and SATs could save em lol

Did comp sci, graduated 2016, handful of us lifted and we'd all chat a bit about how funny it was to run into another comp sci guy in the gym
Many unhealthy and out of shape dudes though in that field
Friendliness in comp sci can often lead to people mooching your code so you have to look out for people who look for too much help too frequently

My bad, meant the usual incel types

Read this book, memorize it's tips and advice: practice quizzes/tests should be your main foundation for studying (anything that helps strengthen the memory-retrieval parts of your brain).

I highly recommend becoming either a CNA or an Emergency Tech in an ER: taking care of someone for a long-period of time is a different form of medicine than just making sure their ABCs are stable until you drop them off. Your experience dealing with patients as well as doing assessments, understanding the medical language, and document is going to help you a lot but it can be taken further (half of 1st semester in an ADN program is just CNA shit).

If you have to take a TEAS test (Testing Essential Academic Skills) as a requirement to see if you qualify for a program, I recommend reading and doing exactly what this blog-post says to prepare for it: allnurses.com/teas-exam-help/how-i-passed-804222.html. Nationally, including my own program, the average pass rate for the TEAS test is ~64% (the absolute minimum) because many students think if they just do amazing with their GPA and Biology GPA they'll get it. However, almost everyone thinks this and it becomes the unofficial minimum. You get an A on the TEAS (which imo is easy to do since the practice quizzes were harder), you're practically guaranteed a slot.

Be honest with yourself: are you self-disciplined and handle stress productively? If not, I personally recommend you start training yourself to become more self-disciplined and start integrating productive ways to relieve stress (personally meditation helps). If you really are, than I recommend grabbing a chance to get into a Straight-To-BSN program instead of an ADN program. Right now in Nursing, there's this weird transitional period where officially you only need an ADN to start working but unofficially most medical places (especially hospitals) want you to have a BSN at least because everyone one wants Magnet status. Some places won't accept less.

Being a male is a good plus: only 10 - 12% in the whole nursing field so a lot of efforts are made to get males and to keep them to stay. Thanks to the growing population and the coming Baby-Boomer wave as well as caregiver shortage, employees instead of the employers have the ball in their court. You're practically gurenteed a job in almost anything you want. Hell, nursing is so flexible with what you can do you can get an easy-peasy job being a Dialysis Nurse ("I literally get paid $60 an hour to babysit a dude getting his blood filtered while I surf on my phone) or get PICC-certified and make $200 an insertion (so I've heard). You can also join a Travel RN agency and work wherever you are needed in the world or just within the states. You learn all the fundamentals and what's needed at least at the Associates level, then with flexible experience as well as specific educational pathways you can specialize in shit (CRNA makes on average $150k).

My dude you are the fucking champ.

Sorry, for got pic-related. I highly recommend you read this book: it will save you a lot of stress and time with studying.

Oh, and also fucking master Human Anatomy and Physiology (hell, most of the Biology prerequisites) like you're gonna become a TA once the semester is over. Acing A&P like you're aiming for nothing less than 110% is gonna make studying and etc. so much easier to memorize as well as critically think.

OH. AND BE SUPER CAUTIOUS WITH FEMALE PATIENTS. BE VERY PROFESSIONAL. HAVE A FEMALE CO-WORKER WITNESS IF YOU CAN AND/OR HAVE THE DOOR OPEN. BE EXTRA CAREFUL WITH MANIPULATIVE MENTAL AND DEMENTED FEMALE PATIENTS - ESPECIALLY IN THIS ERA OF #METOO.

There are many stereotypes and annoying questions RNs get. For males; it's the assumption he's either Gay, a pervert, or an Angel of Mercy. Also be expected to get hit-on by females some times and developing a sick sense of humor (which I assume you already have).

you're aiming for nothing less than 110% is gonna make studying Nursing so much easier to memorize as well as critically think (like a Nurse).

Oh, Flashcards are the shit and highlighters are fucking liars. Know the difference between actually knowing the subject-material and the feeling of being fluent with a particular educational text conveying said material (the book I recommended will explain what I mean).

Oh, and this is like the Holy Bible of Nursing Study-Aids (never heard anything less than a 5/5 review from anyone and I agree).

>International Relations
I think a few lift, one student is an ex special forces guy (Sniper) and he's pretty strong. The rest who lift seem to be curlbros though.
No fat people. The only fat people dropped out because it was too difficult for them.
Almost everyone is friendly, the unfriendly (fat) people dropped out. I dislike some people though.

Oh, and find out what is the multi-criteria screening tool they use in the particular program you're interested in. That way you know what to work for and maximize the amount of points you can get to increase your chances of getting in. The Nursing Department homepage in a collage should have a link to it. Also if you need help choosing a good program, Google "BRN NCLEX Pass Rates" to see which programs teach well to have their students pass the NCLEX 1st time.

E.g. rn.ca.gov/education/passrates.shtml

As a teacher? I believe only in college/university, I'm afraid. I wouldn't truly know tho, since I dont live in the states.
In companies that need mapping and geolocation management/data, you rightfully can, a lot of people on my college are actually trying to go through that route.
But again, different job oportunities in different countries.
God speed anyway, user.

Also, about lifting, not a lot of people do and it makes me mad. I believe there's only 2 guys on my entire course that actually lift or do any kind of sport (not counting me) and not even one girl that does.
They'll mostly be teachers soon, for gods sake. Someone that children will have to interact on a daily basis for years and years. You need to be a good example to them, and for me that also means being physically fit.
I dont want to see my students miserable and fat, and i'll do everything that i can to not let that happen.

>oh

Link to video related to pic please lmao

>nursing school
>one of about 20 guys
>I might be the strongest
>about 110 girls
>I think a greater proportion of the females lift than the men
>it seems like they all have boyfriends or husbands
>not like my timid ass is going to ask anyone out anyways

I'm guessing you're at a community college based on that cohort size. I had my first clinical on a med/surg floor and got to see c.diff ooze out of an old lady's ass. One thing that took me off guard is that the girls talk about hot girls more than the guys do

Hope you get a UTI and then a Foley inserted, fuck-OH.

I'm taking finance
Happy (for you) but can you tell me how much the school you go to matters?
My grades are decent and I'm not autistic but it's unmotivating thinking about how all the good jobs probably go to the ivy league Chads and I'm going somewhere no one's heard of

This is completely right.

I also hear that men rise through the ranks more quickly because privilege. seems like a good bonus

...

Probably doesn't realize he's doing it. I know I didn't know.

would it be in that order? they just finished beating it into my head that having a foley cath greatly increases your chance of getting a UTI, or a CAUTI in this case

No, it's because men just generally tend to be more work-focused and assertive than women (who generally seek a work-life balance).

youtube.com/watch?v=eieVE-xFXuo

Yeah it does, Foleys aren't suppose to be inside longer than 3 days max cause of that increased risk and are like a last resort kinda-thing. However, I've seen patients who need to have a Foley or similar but they've gotten something like a UTI already (i.e dude has a UTI but a new Foley needs to be placed). Did not look pleasing at all no matter how much lube was used.

Nah, it's a private school, just a small one. 2 years for an ADN. We started with 48 and the shitters keep washing out. Yeah, C. diff is pretty gnarly shit, literally. I attempted my first IV on Wednesday at clinical, fucked it up but not too terribly. I'll get it next time. D/C'd a foley as well, that was not fun but went smoothly.

Computer Science
Everyone is scrawny as fuck, I one overheard one skeleton talking about "toning up" and "losing weight slow so I don't lose my muscles".
All the guys wear running shoes with jeans and all the chicks are below average. I was a loser in high school and even I can't sperg out like half these cunts.

>private school
>that attrition
how the hell are they going to pay of that debt then? I can't fucking fail out it costs too much to be here. I thought classes like o-chem were supposed to weed people out, but I guess if you took prereqs at a community college it'd be way easier

the majority of the educators at my school are women and they have Ph.Ds. the top dawg is also a woman

foley caths look terrible. I think that if I can see c.diff shit and still be hungry for lunch I might have a shot. this other dude with an above the knee amputation also had c.diff along with a stage 4 sacral pressure ulcer. the old lady was also working on a sacral pressure ulcer: the skin there is ruddy red and non blanchable. she probably should have a foam wedge under her so that she's not sitting on it all the time

NICE PIPES BLOOD BROTHER

Lotta nurses here. Also studying an associates equivalent for nursing and hoping to get a job quick, then upskill to a full degree and then specialize into something I enjoy. Only a few other guys in my cohort and only 1 other in my class. Not many people lift. The 1 other guy lifts but not much. I don't think any of the other girls seriously lift apart from a thicc cardiobunny and another chick with an incredible body who has to be lifting some weights.

This is actually concerning, even though we use hoists and slide sheets and assistance with moving patients, a lot of these girls are probably gonna get strain injuries on account of how weak and small they are. This is good for me, it'll guarantee me a job as a liftan male BUT it doesn't have to be this bad for my future colleagues.

I said *GENERALLY* men tend to be more work-focused and assertive than women. Also, in the nursing field men make only 10 - 12% of the RN workforce: there is a larger pool of RN women (88 - 90%) and thus a larger potential to take a top position. If adjust for per capita, men would most likely be higher than women at your school.

>how the hell are they going to pay of that debt then?
No idea, man. Not really my problem. I think what a lot of people did was transfer to another school and accrue even more debt to try again. Fuck that shit, I like my school and I'm getting it right the first time.

>history
>lots of people exercise and are average or above average shape
>lots of fat people but a minority
>big D1 sports school so people are friendly although it seems kinda cultish sometimes. The only time I've heard of people being uncool are usually frats that get territorial. Nothing out of the ordinary.

>the old lady was also working on a sacral pressure ulcer: the skin there is ruddy red and non blanchable

Stage 1.

i.pinimg.com/564x/7a/d5/c2/7ad5c22d8064653e81dc173c05e5d90c.jpg

I've only seen one male nurse educator and he's still working on his Ph.D. all the nursing philosophy doctors at my school are women. I'm still not convinced that men are more work oriented than women, but for whatever reason I'm more likely to rise through the ranks I'm not complaining

== NICE PIPES BLOOD BROTHER ==

Hello nurse frens. I am in first year doing a Bachelor of Nursing in Canada and I'm 1 of 15-20 males out of 200 students. I'm the only white male in the program so I get treated like a god. Feels ok.
