the primary benefit of arch is that it's a rolling release which may or may not be good for your case
also the aur but generally software availability on debian/ubuntu is good enough

TL;DR

Manjaro is basically Arch without the hassle

Setting up arch takes about 2 to 3 hours if you patiently follow the wiki. The only part that I think was kinda tricky is figuring out how to partition your disk. After that it's fairly simple, just figure out how to connect to wifi thru the terminal.
Installing a desktop environment (or window manager if you're an actual autist) and all the packages you need through pacman is pretty trivial once you've booted into a succesful installation and connected to wifi. Takes no time at all.
