How long does it take for you guys to get used to fasting and the temptation to eat? I've been keeping to my IF schedule mostly fine a week in and i'm still waiting for that moment where I just don't give a fuck about wanting to eat food. I keep getting moments where my brain tells me "I should go find something to eat real quick". Never really realized how often I get food for practically no reason but I keep getting the temptations and I want it to stop. Every day I wait and prepare to eat food the second my fast is over and it makes the hours leading up take for forever even if i'm busy with something else.

How long did it take for you guys to stop getting the urges or how did you get them to stop practically completely?

I have become diabetic at 31 and want to lose weight to reverse it enough to stay off medication. I was 240lb/6'1" at my heaviest but am at 215 now and it is more manageable.

me being weak it took me 3 years but my efforts were half assed and I wasn't really into it, I was the laziest guy on earth so there's that
realize that hunger always comes in waves and if you can weather it for a couple of minutes it disappears and it'll feel like you were never hungry to begin with. It's magical
also take appetite blunting supplements like garcinia forskolin, yohimbine hcl and maybe nicotine gum if you don't mind it. Those help, and if you can't hack long term fasts (7+ day) then fast for 5 days, eat for 2 days on the weekends and repeat this until you're thin. You can lose 2.5-3kg/week on this, easily. It's what I do since I enjoy eating on the weekends and still losing a lot of weight. Don't even need snake juice for this

Because I want a gf and I also genuinely think i'll look really good if I lose weight and get fit though maybe i'm just being a bit delusional and hoping i'll look chad-like

I have a horrible god complex and I want people to think they're in the presence of royalty when I'm around.
Greek god mode is probably impossible after spending my teen years obese, but I'm sure I can at least get myself to 8/10 if I work hard enough.

Depends where you live, but I went to Prisma website (local store chain) and searched for one and got the cheapest for 10 euros. I haven't used it much though. I already know quite easily how many calories are in what.

But yeah I also dont know how to use it.

*Digital
*Backlit
*Accurate to +-1g
*Large enough surface to put a plate on and weigh in the plate
*Smooth top that can be wiped down

I don't have super strong opinions beyond that

Does anyone here do keto/track their ketones? I'm too poor to get a meter or the sticks, and i'm doing OMAD but I'm curious how i would tell if I was dipping into ketosis at times. I restrict carbs a bit but not keto macros yet.

It never stops. You just need to remember that nothing tastes as good as thin feels.

eat less than 30 carbs a day and you'll be in ketosis. No need for sticks/meters

you might get the keto flu for a few days as you adapt to ketosis. You should feel better after that, but ime nothing drastic like some of those keto preachers talk about. You also will lose a bunch of water weight typically that doesn't match how much your eating.

In the past I always thought that eventually I would get around to losing weight. But I'm 31 already, so I need to just get it done.

I want to get a GF but there are so many obstacles in my way. I need to get a driver's license, get a job, lose weight and then acquire GF. Losing weight is probably the least necessary, but it is the one I can do without leaving the house.

My TDEE is 2.7k a day, and I'm doing 1.2k cals a day since that is how much I need to do to lose 2lbs a week. Losing 1-2lbs a week is still healthy.

I wanna eat bros, it's torturous being in a house and having a family of other fatties who buy a bunch of good tasting food. All I keep thinking like every other minute is "man I should have some of this, it tastes so good!" Hopefully when I finally get my own place and buy my own shit I won't think about it as much since it won't be in reach at any moment when i'm at home

Yeah, that is great help. Being in unsupportive environment is really difficult. If are are able to do some progress under that conditions, my salutations to you. I wasn't able to do so.

here is a secret, when you're a five foot tall woman your TDEE is actually 1200

if your calories are under your bmr then you really need to stay at your fucking bmr. change the workouts, mess with your macros, if its under bmr you are losing muscle more than you are fat and its just plain unhealthy

I've been a fatty since grade 5.
Tonight I found a shirt from grade 7 which was large for me then but I quickly outgrew it with fat like a year later.

I put it on tonight, at 20 years old, after dieting and exercising since the summer.
It fit. It was even a little baggy. Nothing feels better than this, I'm not even at my goal weight yet.

Losing weight takes no time, just eat less calories. Going to the gym is only slightly understandable, and that's if you're the 12-hour-shift museum user.

Brehs it so easy. I dont eat breakfast, i have one ararmark meal for lunch then a can of condensed soup for dinner. Maybe a protein bar. Im never hungry, and ive lost like 15lbs this semester, without any stress at all.
Im getting laid, doing well in class (engineering), making friends and losing weight. Life is good.
