Jeff advocates safer, and less technical exercises because he's preaching to newbies. He recommends hex bar deadlifts over conventional because, well, they're a lot harder to fuck up and injure yourself with.

Klokov presses are even used by some physio's to teach proper scapular control. Fuck, I have a shitty left shoulder from a fall and Lu Raises and Klokov presses helped more than almost anything. If I had listened to Jeff that would never have happened.
