Assuming I am getting enough protein, how extreme of a cut can I go on without losing much muscle? I want to lose as much weight as fast as possible so I can get back to bulking.

Not that extreme unless you do tren

^This is bullshit. A little yohimbe and a good pump will do that

what's bf% on left? Looks kind of close to where I am and I am paranoid I'm getting too big

I'm going cut 1'000 calories a day.
That is one kg of fat loss a week.
Trying to go for 0,8-1 g of proteines per kg.
Hope i don't lose the gains.

At least 25%

These look like 2 different people entirely

1g proton per kg?
Fuck I've been doing 1g proton per lb, which means I ingested 180-200g protein instead of 85-90g

Am I going to die now?

>1g per kg
lol I hope this is joke
you need ideally 200g a day in a cut

looks 13~15

Did this guy do neck extensions? Wtf

No you're doning it right.
1g per kg is barely the minimum.

you can cut and not lose any strength user

it is not the fucking bare minimum, it is half of the bare minimum.
Eating anything below 140g of protein daily expecting to grow muscles ever is retarded,

>cutting to extremely low body fat without robust facial bones

I call bs, at least for upper body lifts. Squats and deadlifts barely went down on a 23lb cut but bench and ohp fucking sunk

Wikipedia says that an average male needs 0,8 grams per kg of body weight.
If you are a lifter you can go for 1,6g per kg maxx.
More than that has no benefit, besides increasing the risk of getting stones.

All the studies I read say you only need .66g per lb for strength

Fuck Wikipedia. I weigh 210 lbs and am eating close to 275g per day.

It looks like two different people.

depends on your bf%, for natty lifters, as you get closer to your essential fats your body will start using more and more of your muscles as fuel instead

obese people can lose a ton of weight with no effect on lean mass, the leaner you are the bigger the drop in lean mass will be.

Generally groups that see the least amount of losses have small caloric restrictions, high training volume and VERY high protein intake. we are talking 2-3g/kg

There is good evidence to suggest that protein requirements during cuts increase a lot if you want to maintain lean mass.

sounds like a great way to lose all your muscles

.66 is what the average adult male(and the average guy is obviously a fatass dyel) needs to just not melt away because they can't maintain muscle proteins, 0.80 is the recomended amount which means it should be enough for 98% of the population to not melt away.

if you way to build muscles or you want to maintain muscle mass through a cut, you need WAY more.

1.66 is what studies show is optimal for growth but you can go way higher to preserve muscles during cuts.

I did 2lbs a week and lost a lot of strength which has only just come back after like 3 months

Just fast and lift.

How much protein were you getting?

nice momscience

1.6 is the bare minimum on a maintenance/bulk, since your body spare protein when eating at your TDEE or more.
When on a cut, naturals should ideally go between 1,9 and 2,2g/kg of protein, you need much more because you are eating less calories so you need more protein to maintain as much muscle as possible. Roiders go even higher than that.

When I cut, I aim to lose about 5kg in 4 weeks. Last time I did it, I got to about 10% bodyfat but did lose a bit of muscle. Depends on what stage of lifting you are at. I am 5'7 cut to 68kg and my bench went from 4x5 90kg to struggling very hard to get 4x5 85. Looked fucking good though my man

oh and I ate about 100-140g of protein per day

When you think about it it's pretty retarded to cut for 6 months when you could just fast for a month and lift for 5 months.

Yeeeh, you should listen to your mom.

I'm 21% bf atm and trying to cut to 15ish% eating enough protein is a struggle, but I'm enjoying it, 6 eggs for breakfast, loads of meat for lunch and dinner

How long until my metabolism starts to slow if I am eating at a 700 cal deficit?

Maintaining this at 2400cals and losing weight if I go any lower. As long as you have a decent amount of muscle mass to begin with, it'll increase your tdee so you won't be starving yourself when you cut
