After being a huge supplement autismo and going through the rigmarole over the years of buying tons of supplements and then throwing them out when they don't work, here's the list of supplements I've taken that have actually done something.
>Licorice Root I don't take this anymore because I got adderal but it gives you a buzz inbetween addy/caffeine. This was the first supplement I ever took where it had an immediately noticeable effect like that of pharma drugs where I went, "wow, this shit actually does something." Only worked when I took 2 on empty stomach.
>NOW brand prostate health It's branded as prostate health but really it just gives you big cums and boner city. horse pill sized but it works great.
>Vitamin D It just works. 5000iu per day then the 7th day take a couple more to get to 50kIUs per week.
>Magnesium Lifesaver for muscle cramps. Anyone who tells you magnesium doesn't do anything, tell them to go buy epsom salt and pour half the bag in the tub and soak around in there for half an hour. They'll be feeling it in no time Mr. Krabs.
Now, for the giant list of shit that doesn't do anything.
>Fish oil doesn't do dick >B12 doesn't do dick >B-Complex same as B12 >Curcumin doesn't do dick >SAM-E doesn't do dick >Vitamin C see above >Iodine drops Really wanted this one to be true. Sadly, it doesn't do anything. >Methylfolate doesn't do dick and costs $80 for some reason >CoQ10 does not do dick >Tinaeptine expensive and doesn't do dick
That's about it for me. Share your supplement stories ITT so we can get to the bottom of which ones actually do something.
Not op but better mood, more energy throughout the day, waking up and not feeling like complete shit.
Austin Baker
thanks. have a good night

Nah bro I took too much vitamin D one time and my ears started ringing. Googled it and that was one of the symptoms.
Coincidentally I had a vitamin D test the next dat and measured like 98 on whatever the fuck the test was which was way over what it's supposed to be.
Caleb Brooks
I tried things in groups, so I can't narrow it down to specific items.
>Spinach + Kale 200 g each, Spirulina 1 tbsp, frozen blueberry 250 g, ginger 1 big thumb, garlic 6 clove Night and day difference, like a wasn't even human before. Physical, mental and sexual energy through the roof. Smell like garlic.
>Fiber: oat bran, linseeds, psyllium seeds, psyllium husk More energy, less frequent and easier shits. If I under-hydrated during a day it would require me to push a cannonball out of my ass.
>One red onion per day Horny, balls larger, smell bad but not as bad as garlic.
>Ashwagandha, panax ginseng, ginko biloba, lion's mane Nothing notable I guess.
>Sulbutiamine Helped with developing study and exercise habits back when I was depressed.
Xavier Phillips
lol iodine saved my life
Logan Reyes
I just recently started a new stack, most of it is shit with a loading phase though so Ill just have to see how long it takes: Fasting days: Yohimbe bark tea, no more than 1/4 tsp, shit tastes awful if any of you know a better way please tell me Feeding days: Magnesium, zinc, ALCAR, Foleus Skohli(seaweed extrsct, saw human trials with promising results),l-citrulline, 6k vit D, occasionally vit C, vit k2
Dominic Stewart
I'm the OP of this thread Have any experience or answers about the things I listed OP? Or anyone else. Seems like I just need to take half of the ZMA dose a day or only half my multivitamin.
Ethan Walker
>fasting Absolutely confirmed for not making it
Chase Hill
its good if you are actually deficient but this thread isnt about people who have deficiencies
Christian Sanders
Is there any need to take vitamin D if I live in Australia and get plenty of sun?
Hunter Robinson
for the zma: just cut it in half its not a huge deal bro for the vitamin d: standard medical dose for deficiency is 50,000 IU a week. just take 5000IUs a day. or less.
Samuel Baker
no
Brayden Perry
someone redpill me on acne supps. what fucking works, or at least makes some kind of difference?
Nathan Moore
Current stack >fish oil No noticeable brain gains >calcium, magnesium, zinc No noticable gains. Probably prevents cramps and osteoporosis. >b complex with folate Possibly more energy >ginkgo No noticeable difference in memory >probiotics No noticeable difference in mood >vitamin D No noticeable difference in mood. Still brain fog and sad. But I continue to take all of these worried that it’ll be even worse if I stop. I was just about to start a thread like this.
Landon Powell
Thanks man, I'll raise the vitamin D dosage too, I figure 1,000 or 2,000 IUs a day was good though; I'll read more about it. I don't think I'm very deficient if at all, so, 50,000 seems awfully high. Don't know much about it.
Jonathan Cooper
>natural male enhancement In what way?
Aaron Cooper
At least you didn't fell for ''muh racetam'' meme and nootropic meme in general, except for the OPIATE tianeptine.
Charles Gonzalez
stupid fucking post, you can't just say a certain micronutrient supplement "doesn't do dick" just because you didn't have an effect, YOU PERSONALLY might just not need it. It's like an obese person saying "food doesn't do anything to help starvation" because they tried eating more and didn't notice any difference. I appreciate the thought but you're giving people the wrong idea.
Evan Rivera
>having entire fasting days goodbye gains
OP try more vit D, and ON's ZMA supplement. pretty good combination. btw Fish Oil is really fuckin good for you, just keep taking that shit even if you dont feel it. good for your joints esp if you lift heavy.
only other good shit is natural >apple cider vinegar >cloves of raw garlic >onions and ginger >maca root and ashwaghanda >chamomile tea (god tier, look up the studies) >tumeric
but the best thing you can do is more cardio and try out a bit of cold therapy (most people do cold showers, try work up to ice baths thats when the real gains occur desu)
Carter Moore
Boron is good against joint pain. Had inflamed knees tendons or something like that, three days it was way less, week to was gone.
Henry Rivera
I have hypothyroidism
Jose Kelly
Not him, but fasting is good for losing weight, and maybe doing it once a week is good for a number of reasons, right? Right? I'm doing intermittent fasting atm but that's because I'm trying to lose fat faster.
Bentley Ramirez
Oh that is the last one, it will rape your test levels for sure.
Caleb Mitchell
Fish oil Vit D Zinc Ashwagandha Acetyl L Carnitine Alpha Lipoic Acid B complex
These will aid excellent brain health and hormonal profile balance
Hudson Rodriguez
i'm not going to tell you what you want to hear user, sorry.
Fasting doesnt burn muscle, do you know why your body stores excess energy as fat and not muscle?
Because its readily available for breakdown and is energy dense, stop talking what you don't understand.
t. Biochemist
Parker Nguyen
I'm not a fan of this trhead. OP has no idea what other people are deficient in and so what doesn't help him could certainly help others. If someone is outside all day for work doing 60 hour weeks, they don't need D3 and it won't help them. If someone is eating a lot of fish they don't need fish oil and it won't help them. If someone is on GOMAS they don't need magnesium. People need to try things for themselves because you never know what your body is lacking
Jaxon Cox
GOMAD* I can't type today
Chase Green
If it was 98 on nmol/L, you aight white boi.
If it was 98 on ng/mL, im surprised you have no permanent damage.
Jacob Hernandez
When I run oral steroids I get lots of acne on my arms. I just use Neutrogena body wash with a boar bristle back scrubber brush and scrub hard. Haven't had a single one pop up.
Kayden Rodriguez
Fish oil actually reduced my triglycerides about 25%, didn't change diet or routine so it works
Asher Russell
Iodine works wonders for me, i had brain fog, took a pill of iodine and in 20 minutes it was gone.
Michael Sanders
>>Licorice Root Isn't this shit for lungs health not a fucking brain?
Mason Turner
try liposomal vitamin c, bro. picrel is a must-read imho
Don't know if this is what you mean, but I had some jawline acne that just would not go away. I started using benzoylperoxide a couple weeks ago, and while it isn't completely gone yet, it is soooo much better. Also switching pillowcases every 2 days now, and showering every morning and after workout, and then washing my face before bed.
Liam Green
>caduceus in logo dropped
Cameron Parker
still less effective than eating every 4 hours for building muscle specifically
Asher Martin
try nofap and see how things change
Ryder Reyes
I take 4 grams of fish oil a day, and at least Vitamin D will eventually be added to that list. I'm record low in my Vitamin D levels, implying it's less an issue of intake and more an issue of absorption.
It once was so low that I took 50,000 IU/day under my doctor's supervision and it only raised three points. If I take Vitamin D my actual bones start fucking hurting. I swear, I'm going to get osteoporosis in my 30s.
Thomas Evans
you're supposed to take vitamin K2 with it
Jayden Bennett
>St John's Wort didn't do anything besides a plecebio effect on mood at first >fish oil Haven't noticed any benefits >ZMA Big cums and vivid ass dreams
William Lewis
>Testosterone Enanthate The best workout supplement ever
Mason Richardson
>when my mom used to compete she took 50,000 a day You people are insane.
Kevin Richardson
I have to take methylfolate and methylated b vitamins because of my MTHFR mutation
>MTHFR mutation I have the same thing. I do feel depressed when I forget to take it but it could be placebo.
Tyler Myers
It works as low as 1000mg a day but its sort of expensive
Lincoln Long
buy a tub of it and cap your own pills
Oliver Fisher
>>Tinaeptine you best be trolling. that shit gave me an opioid high almost like the real deal. withdrawls are a bitch too
Samuel Ramirez
Thoughts on phenibut?
Thomas Williams
Eat better you disgusting pig
Charles Sanchez
Is fish oil a meme? Every normie health source acts like it's a magic pill, but I've taken three per day forever and still feel foggy and retarded.
Related- Any supps for mental clarity and focus that aren't hardcore stims? Something like nicotine, though obviously I don't want to get into that (though I've heard you can use the gum/patches as a nootropic, anyone done that?)
Anthony Hall
I'm about 50 percent as efficient as normal ppl. I get fucking anemic and feel like ass when I dont take it
Nolan Stewart
>MTHFR mutation First time I ever read about this, could I get a quick rundown.
Christopher Hill
My supplements are: vitamin D (2000 IU / day), hericium erinaceus (2 g / day), and psilocybin/psilocin (2.5 g of dried p. cubensis on occasion).
Julian Diaz
Lowers DHT can be bad actually
Andrew Cox
>Spinach + Kale 200 g each, Spirulina 1 tbsp, frozen blueberry 250 g, ginger 1 big thumb, garlic 6 clove
Did you blend it? How did you consume this?
Liam Adams
ketogenic diet with meat and saturated fat, mct oil, vitamin D3+K2, magnesium, 50mg iodine + 400mcg selenium.
Jackson Johnson
something like 50-80% of the population has either 1 or 2 mutations in some random gene which can lead to depression, fatigue, some other stuff I think.
Parker Bailey
Asides from the supplements, what does your diet right now look like?
Ryan Powell
Yeah if you dont have any DHT to spare most with a little hair on their chest have enough to spare. If anything lowering free test to DHT conversion is in most mens interests
Sebastian Clark
1) can I buy any brand of vitamin D3? 2) when should I take it 3) how much should I take? 4) before/after/with food? Thanks
Oliver James
1) pretty much 2) when you'd normally get sunlight, e.g. around noon 3) 5000 IU (125 mcg) works for many 4) doesn't matter, as long as you eat some fat with it also take vitamin K2 to protect your bones from the D3
Nicholas Wood
Is a glass of milk (300 ml) enough fat?
Wyatt Hill
full-fat milk, yeah.
Carter Phillips
1.7-1.9% okay?
Camden Howard
better than nothing, but full-fat dairy is better.
How would you even notice fish oil effects? It's supossed to just make you a bit more healthy in the long run.
Charles Scott
Since d3 deposits in soft tissues as well when not taken with k2 I bet this shit calcified the brain (when not with k2) because it’s transported in the blood stream. Think it would aggravate pineal calcification.
Considering iodine supplementation, but why is kosher salt not iodized?
Sebastian Thomas
Wouldn’t fish’s tendency toward high mercury content carry into fish oil supps?
Anyone look into detoxing from heavy metals?
Also, without health insurance, any home gadgets I can use to measure my levels of all the shit these things supposedly impact? Hate to tamper with inputs without measuring outputs.
William James
Get a blood report and get whatever vitamin you're deficient in
Landon White
If you didnt get high af off 80 mg tianeptine sodium then you got bunk shit fish oil for mood/general autism
Gabriel Parker
Add ashwaghanda
Daniel Diaz
I've been taking zinc for three months rn, a pill everyday before sleep. Better mood and feel more "manly", facial hair is growing much faster. Also because I take it before sleep I get really crazy and nice dreams, most of the time involving women. Might be an effect of nofap as well. I want to improve my quality of sleep even more, so I'm gonna buy Vitamin D3 tomorrow. When I was younger I was diagnosed with depression, and even though now I feel really good I still have depressive episodes, so I'll get vitamins B9 and B12 and 5-HTP. Also considering fish oil (I still have bits of acne around cheekbones). Any recommendations for low libido? I'm 18 and barely have any sexdrive.
Levi Moore
~150 mcg is needed to avoid severe thyroid disease. More generally makes things worse, until you go over ~15 mg. ~50 mg seems enough for most benefits of iodine supplementation, but some people feel better on more. Before taking iodine, take 200 mcg selenium for a week or two. You can increase it to 400 mcg when you start taking 15+ mg of iodine. Here's some shit to read if you're interested in the research: optimox.com/iodine-research
Cameron Bennett
This.
Brayden Richardson
Use citrulline instead, it's superior in raising NO levels
