For when you want to lie and tell people you can deadlift 4 plate

i-i do this, am i lying to myself? i can't really deadlift with my feet closer togehter lol
Canditoes does em and hes stronger than 90% of Jow Forums
Why not?
Well yea if you just say I can deadlift 4 plate it’s dumb but I think most people would clarify that they sumo 4 plate
I cheat even harder and use the trap bar.
I use double overhand so its alot harder.Sumo is actually far better for people with back problems. My glutes and hams have also come through way better
>I use double overhand so it’s a lot harder
Than conventional? Cope
i can do 4pl8 for 7 on trap bar and barely broke 335 for 3 on a regular bar.
what's harder sumo or trapbar
both have relatively the same amount of reduced ROM compared to conventional however being able to have a neutral grip on trap bar might make it just a bit easier.
Sumo Deadlift always feels like a squat, am I doing it wrong?
I think sumo is easier honestly.
It does have more quad usage than conventional
trap bar isnt gay tho
His feet are probably naturally really far apart. Happened to my uncle
I have to do this because I'm too fucking tall
I also have a really wide squat
i pull sumo b/c herniated L5, and also bad leverages for conventional. tfw long legs & short arms. at least my shoulders are wide af
i used to sumo pull, its a shit lift. conventional is a better back builder. Sumo is a shittier squat variant imo
Tfw everyone told me to pull sumo as my main deadlift because my leverages are better for it, but despite having “good” form, still get hurt so YOLO untrained conventional, and it matches my sumo numbers. Fffff
I pull 485 on this while conventional 320
It’s all in the name

Ooze
trap bar is godtier for avoiding injuries and still training your lower body, beats the shit out of squats and deadlifts, but people on fitness oriented online forums will make fun of it because it's not a conventional deadlift.
sumo is noticeably harder, my best conventional is 6 plates and I pulled over 7 on trapbar on my first try
Are you guys using the elevated handles for trap bar or something?
The Sumo """""Deadlift""""""""
stop ego lifting and learn to actually deadlift
>trap bar is godtier for avoiding injuries and still training your lower body, beats the shit out of squats and deadlifts, but people on fitness oriented online forums will make fun of it because it's not a conventional deadlift.
you are kidding yourself, it's just a squat from the ground
I dunno man, I can't lift the weights I lift in regular deadlift while using sumo. Dunno if it's a mental barrier or I have a weak spot that prevents me from doing sumo deadlifts.
i dealift less when i use the trap bar
The data shows otherwise.

wew, when will sumolets learn
I've been noticing alot of people starting to do this at the gym, when i'm warming up on treadmill cardio, creeping on the squat racks for brapper squats.
>there's one bar at the gym that's a bit thinner than the other two
>I have baby hands and struggle to hook grip the thick bars
>I always move it to the deadlift pad
>Other people always move it back
Is it cheating? I don't think it weighs any less, but even if it is only 15kg it improves my deadlift by way more than the 5kg difference.
You are retarded. Tall people gravitate towards conventional, not sumo.
>I use double overhand so its alot harder
DOH is the standard, don't kid yourself
im very broad shouldered relative to my body length, so if i stand normally (feet at shoulder width , i always end up doing this and not a close feeted deadlift
Sumo deadlifting is the worst form of ego lifting, no one cares that you moved the bar 3.5 inches off the ground.

When I deadlift, I don't go off shoulder width I go by my hip width
Try doing that and working on form from there
There's some good videos I've watched online that have helped me get my form down for conventional and not take so long to set up
Or when you were born with the most assholish mobility and proportions and can't deadlift conventional without looking like pic related
Your hips are probably too low.
Sumo has bigger range of motion
Especially on high handles trap bar
Trap bar is basically quarter squatting weight up
Im 6'2 and i pull less conventional
This logic applies to huge motherfuckers
Tall lanky guys with ape arms excell at sumo
T. 5pl8 deadlift sumo after 2 years of shit training
I could deadlift 450 conventional double overhand @17
Yeah and where is that retard now
doesnt it also depend on how you pull a trap bar?
some people just squat the weight up with low hips and probably do the same when deadlifting conventional.
if i treat the trap dead as a pull with higher hips, i bet id be using more back that guys deadlifting conventional with low hips and heaps of leg drive.
end of day, doesnt matter because i use all depending on what my goal/target is.
it's a 10kg bar, and it makes a different in grip too but not otherwise
Only people I ever see do this lift are tiny Asian guys
Pulling more than you faggot
Looking huge and banging bitches left and right - how about you?
Why do people think it is inherently easier when it depends massively on hip morphology and limb length proportions? If it actually was automatically "easier" everyone would use sumo stance.
Completely depends on limb lengths.
Almost nobody here actually lifts, so they go by memes instead of personal experience.
I recommend people try Deficit Trap Bar Deads. The decreased injury risk of trap bar but with more quality RoM - this is my primary lower body lift right now and I've steadily increased my straight bar deadlift without the normal wear and tear that comes with training that.
exactly cause when you use the trap bar it's not even a deadlift
nice
only time I use this is for when I do farmers walks
kek you're a weak little bitch if you think sumo is easier. I always train sumo because its easier on my back and I can do more volume closer to my (sumo) max for it. I pull conventional maybe once every other week and it is higher than my sumo (despite pulling sumo 2x a week).
If you think people are lying with sumo to pull 4 plates it implies you think 4 plates is impressive.get the fuck out of here.
>tfw the worm life chooses you
seriously though, youre just making bs excuses and should probably kys
The hate is more about people forgetting the entire purpose of lifting weights, which is to simply get stronger, not to improve performance is some arbitrarily defined event
>you're a weak little bitch if you think sumo is easier
>its easier on my back
>its easier
want to know how I know you're a stupid idiot who pulls sumo?
this data also relies on the person's limb lengths who they gathered the data from.
Sumo being more of a hybrid between a squat and deadlift is not necessarily a bad thing. It will place less emphasis on the lower back and allow greater leg development than conventional. This is actually great for longevity if you add in something like reverse hypers
Its why i switched to sumo after having a couple disc hernations
easier meaning it puts less strain. The shearing from conventional can lead to disc degeneration over time. Its not related to muscle strength, just the biomechanics involved in the movement
I can frontsquat 110 kg, but my regular squat technique is so retarded that I can squat only ~85 kilos.
>hey guys do trap bar deadlifts with retarded form so it gets harder
Sure is
my legs and arms are long compared to my torso. when I try sumo squatting I feel an unreasonable amount of pressure in my hips. can a physiology bro explain this?
