Sort of kind of maybe. Small habits or traits can dramatically change people's perceptions about you and consequently your social interactions.

Honestly not a great piece of advice to people who really may not intrinsically enjoy going out.

Getting down the basics of social interaction can be helpful, but there are limits. And if someone doesn't have a social dynamic to support them going out well- (e.g. two other friends who are much more social and capable of bringing other people into conversation), it's going to be extremely painful for a socially incompetent person to just "go out" in which they sit at a bar and then view every social interaction as a challenge in which they try to convince the other person to like them and be engaged and assume a personal failing if they don't.

So yeah, a person "just taking care of themselves and going out more" who is an incel might have a real shit time real quick.

If you're strongly myopic, lenses deform your eyes, which makes you look like shit no matter what.
