Proper gym attire

>been working out inconsistently for a few years now
>developed enough self-loathing and autism to start taking it seriously and wind up here
>seeing a lot of hate on basketball shorts at the gym
>realise I look retarded and am the only person wearing them at the gym today

What do people who take their workouts seriously wear to the gym? I'm noticing these fucking shorts get caught on stuff now that I'm using real weights and not the machines.

It’s a meme started by gym clothing companies that do viral marketing on here. Basketball shorts are fine.

This

use sweatpants in the winter

Buy sweatpants and cut them above knee level

Dude, no one gives an actual fuck about what you wear to the gym. It's just a meme. Basketball shorts are fine. Just toss on something comfortable and hit the weights

Quit being autistic. Basketball shorts are fine and are what 80% of guys where at the gyms I’ve been to. If anyone says basketball shorts aren’t proper lifting attire they’re either a faggot, someone who works for a special gym clothing company that makes “workout shorts” that are basketball shorts that are 2 inches shorter, or both

I like to wear yoga pants instead of shorts to lift and run

nigger basketball shorts are fine I wear them all the time they're cheap and comfy duck any of this proper gym attire shit just don't wear jeans and you'll be fine

Big lads of Jow Forums, where the fuck do you buy fitness wear? I'm 6'5 and not a total skeleton and I can't find anything that fits, especially in terms of legwear.
>fits in the ass and thighs but huge waistband
>fits in the upper leg but are an inch or more too short

>caring

How old are you?

The answer is basketball shorts.

I want comfortable full length legwear thst shows off my ass though.

based and redpilled. look good feel good. sweats / joggers feel bretty gud fampaitachi.

rugby shorts

the only real answer, i always wear my game shorts in the gym

compression pants

>where the fuck do you buy fitness wear?
Walmart

Eastbay brand XL tall sweatpants, Asos as well but they're pricier and I feel bad destroying them in the gym

What the fuck is it with Americans wearing these hideous fucking pants?

The only acceptable thing to wear while training is rugby shorts

I've never seen a strong person in basketball shorts, only skinnyfags and lanklords.
Clearly, stubbies are where it's at. Especially NRL ones.

the only downside is like what you said: they get caught

been having problems with my waist chain for weighted pullups and dips getting caught on the pants and putting holes in them or tugging the threads out.

Also, it only really matters if you live in southern california(even then it doesnt really actually matter lol) where every douchewad wears designer brand gym clothes to the gym to look fancy cuz the whole fucking place is obsessed with celebrity culture

honestly it doesnt matter though. nobody gives a flying fuck what other people are wearing

>no boogiesface.jpg
you're slipping Jow Forums

legwear:
>shorts
>sweatpants
>pretty just any legwear that aren't jeans and are comfortable to workout in
shirts:
>any shirt that isn't formal or an excessive cutoff/stringer
It's that simple.

I wear jeans on days I don’t use my legs. shorts only on squat/deadlifts

can’t wear sweatpants because my legs are too big now

You have to dress as a necromancer on deadlift days

Compression pants and any shirt
