Squats

Is it even possible to fix bad squat form? I feel at this point like I've tried everything I can to try and improve, but it feels like no matter what I do my back always rounds and I'm left with residual soreness and tightness after a set that makes me fear for my spine. High bar, low bar, knees out belly breaths/bracing core, mobility stretches, hip stretches, how the fuck do you fix this. I've been on SL for 4 months and I'm starting to feel I'm just slowly destroying my spine even though my legs have gotten bigger.

Get WL shoes

it's literally as simple as improving your flexibility. you don't even need to get super flexible, it's not like you have to be able to do the splits to squat properly. just stretch your hips, hamstrings, ankles and quads and within a couple of months you'll be good

Stretch deeper. Practice with bodyweight or just the bar then back off on the weight until you are able to consistently squat properly.

have you tried shooting video

Add some accessory exercises for your back, like hyper extensions and bent-over row

same, doing SS and my squat is remaining shit (100lbs) because i can't get the form down with my long ass femurs and i don't want to snap my shit up. meanwhile my deadlift is already 2.5 pl8

>100lb squat
gonna need a pic

You won't snap your shit with 100lbs on your back, specially if you're almost deadlifting 140kg

pic of what?

of you

naked? if i post naked will you also post naked with ur benis out?

yes

nah i just got finished working out naked and i just put clothes on, don't feel like getting naked again

I actually did buy a pair, but haven't even used them because everyone just says it's a bandaid and if I don't fix the underlying issues the same thing will just drop up later on down the line. Plus I'm admittedly a little self concious about needing WL for my poverty 2.25pl8 squat.

lol faggot

I guess I should say

Keep at it, OP. Shit gets easier, then random stuff happens. There's always something to work on. I've been squatting for about a year now and this morning I must've allowed the bar to shift because I got a nice 1.5 inch scrape. I had my squat form down, took a month off due to illness, then this shit happens. I thought it was a big zit on my back from the way the bar felt on my traps, but my wife looked and informed me it was an open wound instead and snapped this pic. Might need to wear a sweatshirt from now on when squatting.

Anyway, don't be discouraged. Work through it.

That's retarded, just use them

pull your shoulders together to create a pillow for the bar to rest user, this is me guessing you squat high bar.

will help, but it be like that sometimes. In particular if you get sloppy on the unrack/rerack or if the bar is bent and rolls a little bit as you unrack it.

I know.
Yeah, as I say I was off for a month. First squat session went great. This was the second squat session of the week and I'm sore and stiff as fuck all over from noob DOMS. That made it awkward getting into position, which I assume is what led to the injury.

Even with them on I round. There's just no winning. Being a sedentary loser growing up and having an office job has fucked me for life.
