>How do I safely do an extended fast?
Take snake juice, or just supplement electrolytes.
>Water=2L
>Potassium chloride =1 tsp (No Salt)
>Sodium chloride = 1/2 tsp (Himalayan Pink Salt)
>Sodium Bicarbonate = 1 tsp (Baking Soda)
>Magnesium Sulphate = 1/2 tsp (Food Grade Epsom Salts)
Mix these in 2L of water and sip it throughout the day.
The apple cider vinegar and lemon are optional.
You can also do this if you feel lightheaded, weak, dizzy, nauseous, etc., on shorter water fasts. Don’t do this while intermittent fasting.

No. It only occurs at extremely low body fat (8-10%).

Yes, headass.

>Can I drink coffee, tea, and diet soda? Or anything with artificial sweeteners?
You can do whatever the fuck you want. We recommend avoiding those, sweeteners especially.

Is it normal for your body temp to rise on OMAD/48h fasts? I've been stupid hot lately. Not like uncomfortable and feverish, but dont need a jacket and need a fan on to sleep under covers despite a Scottish winter

What is that shit, where you are supposed to eat all your food (including coffee/tea/etc) within an 8 hour period of time?

With a combination of fasting & keto, I lost 130lb, got better glasses, better clothes, take care of my skin & hair, and I still cannot get any matches at all. None on tinder, none on bumble, none on hinge, none on match.

I can't even get ugly or fat girls to match me.

Here's my progress: fast 24-48 hours weekdays, OMAD on non fasting days. Eating 500-700 calories a meal.

Lost 4 lbs since I weighed myself on Friday. Eating around 1-4p on my OMAD days. So a little more than a pound a day.

I have no idea if it's normal or not, but my body seems to completely lack thermo control too when I fast. I either have virtually no internal heat production and get frozen hands at 70 - 80 degrees Fahrenheit, or my entire body turns bright red and leaves me burning the fuck up for no discernible reason.

Did my first extended fast over the weekend - last meal Friday 8pm and no food until Sunday 1pm. My question is - during the night from Saturday to Sunday I had to woke up to take a piss like 6 times - what was that all about? Does this always happen when you fast for a longer period of time?

When your insulin level drops and your body consumes its glycogen there is a natural diruetic effect. A combination of glycogen and sodium depletion will result in water dropping.

1 glycogen to 3 water approximately. If your liver stores 200g and skeletal muscle stores 300g you will hold around 1.5kg of water from that alone.

Keep your refeed to a low carb meal or ketogenic and you will not get as large a spike in water weight when you eat again. Make sure to take in salt and potassium during a fast or you will feel unwell (keto flu caused by low electrolyte levels)

Starting a fast Thursday night after dinner for 72 hours. Its going to be my first fast ever. Pretty excited and nervous.

I dont have my snake juice stuff in yet, arriving from Amazon on Wednesday and I have to eat with some people on Thanksgiving (girlfriends parents dont want them to hate them). Pretty hype. not fat but have some weight I could definitely lose. Any idea how much I should expect to lose? I was thinking of doing a 72 hour and then maybe a refeed and then another one

No loose skin, all of it has tighten up. Dunno what could be but maybe it's because I've been losing weight slowly and steady instead of just doing it a super long fast, but don't know if there would be any problems with loose skin if I did one like that.

Having a real hard time staying motivated. I lost a bunch of weight doing mostly 3 day fasts mixed with OMAD. Then I totally fell off and I’ve been doing strictly OMAD for a couple months now. I tell myself every day “this is the day I start fasting again” until I finish a 12 shift at the factory and then I’m thinking about dinner on my way home. I think I’ve gotten complacent because I’m thinner than I’ve been in years but I still have a little blob on my gut I’m trying to get rid of. How the fuck do you guys stay motivated?

Just keeping at it, fast when you can, you are 70% of the way there with OMAD. Just acknowledge that OMAD will be slower. Mix things up, try keto or carnivore if you are having trouble sustaining a multi-day?

keeping motivated is a very personal thing, but I find the great people in the discord help me keep motivated when I'm having trouble :)

You don't need snake juice for 3 days or less fasts.

Been doing 16:8, thinking about dropping it to 18:6, 20:4 is too daunting for now.
I'm also afraid to try a full on fast. Because i lift 6 times per week, and i've been increasing the weight.

I put 1/2 of each chloride in 1L of water with some Lemon juice or Apple cider vinegar. I omit the sodium bicarb and the magnesium. If you still find that concentration distasteful, try lowering the concentration.

I peed in my mouth once to see what it tasted like and it tasted just like snake juice.

Is it ever too soon to start drinking snekjoos? I know the golden rule is day 3 but I do a lot of squatting, bending, and lifting at work and there have been a couple times I’ve gotten lightheaded almost to the point of blacking out after only 22 ish hours.

jesus people stop asking about when to drink snake juice. If you feel lightheaded or about to pass out then yes, obviously, you should drink some. I don't know how much. When I feel like that I drink a glass and it gets better.
Feel weak = drink juice. Simple.

the 'golden rule' for snake juice is highly subjective. If you don't like to drink the snake juice you can simply eat the salt crystals or KCl crystals straight.

Go with how you feel, if you get hypotension its usually low sodium, then take some, either straight or with the joos. The sodium is usually more a concern on the shorter term fasts so concentrate on that.

if you are refeeding with plenty of green veg, avocados and the like once a week even, you should be alright for potassium.

Try not to go over 2-3 tsp of potassium chloride if you are taking that.
Sodium Chloride you can take ad libitum, you should find your craving for salt will go down when you have enough.

typically 1 pound /day more or less depending on your bf. You can go 10 days supplementing with electrolytes but if you're a beginner. Maybe start with a 24-72 hrs fast and increase from that. You don't need snake juice for less than 3 days fast
