Do these do anything? Should I get a pair?

Do these do anything? Should I get a pair?

Don't you have dumbell?

Yeah, but only 30lb ones.
Don't push ups work out a wider muscle group anyway?

I have a pair at home, only used them before i acquired a Barbell and rack. Honestly they don’t do much, also there is no such thing as a perfect pushup beacause different pushups target different muscles.

I suggest since you only have dumbell to add a wide range of calisthenic exercises and do a regular pushup

>has an entire planet beneath him to do pushups
>wants to buy some stupid contraption to do pushups

Yeah, but they twist so there's less strain on your wrist joints, or something.

Pretty sure he meant use dumbells as your pushup grips instead of this normie meme bs.

They're junk dumbbells and gymnastic rings are better. Doing an rto pushup will fucking murder you at first. With the gymnast rings you can also do an lot of fun shit like ring dips and iron cross at home. They can also be a handy sex accessory if go for the adventurous types

Compare the pushup and that thing to a barbell and a smith machine, would you prefer the normal natural movement or restrictive and unnecessary?

Which is the restrictive and unnecessary thing here? The smith machine?
Because the whole point of those twisty push up things is to make the motion more natural, as your wrists usually twist when your arms contract.

What can be nore natural than a exercise that doesn’t require any equipment to perform?

Pushups are sort of bad for your wrists and shoulders because they limit the natrual rotation of the joint that keeps the head of the humerus centered in the scapula. Chest work as a whole is pretty shitty and not designed to be ergonomic at all.

What a retarded argument. You do do realize that the floor you're pushing against is the "equipment" in this case. And that "equipment" is limiting the motion of your wrists and shoulders.

If you say so guys, but at the end of the day it doesn’t justify wasting 20 dollars on this equipment when you can get something else.

Its 20 fucking dollars man not exactly a large investment. I don't agree with having them when things like gymnast rings exist but their design intention is sound and fuctiona, that's what we were arguing about.

Don't buy push-up equipment man. There are floors everywhere. And unless your over obese or doing something retarded the strain on your wrist should not be that bad.

Wrists are one the hardest things to heal once they do get injured though and nearly all your lifts use them in some way. Its better to protect them than not even if you're just doing a dumbell pushup

Oh, I see what you're saying.
My weights are hexagon shaped, though.
They wouldn't exactly roll.

I personally prefer woman weights for this like rebock 8lbers they have thick handles and ade covered in this grippy rubber so you hands dont slide and the weight won't slide on a hard floor or scuff it.

Well go ahead, buy them. See how long it takes until you forget they exist like i did 5 years ago

I have gymnastic ring so they'd be superfluous if I didn't I'd have a pair.
