No. But I finally got to the point where I'm squatting more than my body weight :)
>tfw squat 115, but already deadlift 250
how do i improve my squat? i'm really struggling here
>that's for one, r-right?
I hope you mean kg or Jow Forums standards are shit
You must have a shit deadlift form or you train legs once a month. Try a split where you do legs twice a week, it's really helped me with my compound movements.
>splits
I squat 245 for 1rm, but I just reached 345 dl tonight, and my bench is 155 for 2. How to improve squat? I already do legs 2x a week.
you probably have good deadlift proportions, but youre weak as shit any way, If you really want fast squat results squat 5 days a weak add weight decrease reps as weeks go on and EAT MORE
Squat 295x5, but I deadlift 405x5 and bench 285x5.
GOMAD
Yeah I do that for 10s
Hit 265 for 3 last night. A year ago I was at 295 for 4, then I strained something. I dropped plates and started doing sets of ten while I recovered and reached sets of 250 in May. I took thr summer off to work on a ranch and lost a lot of strength. It's drepressing to know where I used to be and how long it's been and I haven't gotten it back.
150lbs body weight, btw
>245 for 1rm
You need more volume. I was able to do 225 3x5 in 6 months of serious lifting. I have a heavy day 3X5 and a light day 4x8-12.
i'm doing SS, my form is nearing perfection because i'm autistic as fuck about it and film every set and rewatch it immediately after. i could definitely afford to eat more, but the huge gap just seems odd
I've been thinking of doing 3 leg days a week. 2 days squat, one day dl. Good idea?
how long have you been lifting
a week
also meant for 2, but I know, not much better. Also, I've only been back to the gym for 2 months now.
Volume is the drive for legs, just watch your hammies lad. I rekt my left one going below depth with inadequately wide stance. 3x5 twice a week or more should be gucci
when people say 3x5 do they mean the same weight every set? or do people go up in weight each set? and if they do, what percentage of max?
........
same weight each set
is there a reason behind this? I've always gone up in weight each set.
so will my squat just catch up or should i do something extra?
bumping this question
you can go up in weight each set if you want to periodize, so say on OHP, you want to increase weight but instead of microloading plates you can do it with ramp up sets, so you want to do 135 for 3x5 but youre on 130 right now lets say, you can do 2x5 with 130 then 1x5 with 135 then next workout 1x5 with 130 and 2x5 with 135 and so on until you are 3x5 with 135. This is a kinda retarded way to do it though it's much better to do it through % of max and set rep ranges per workout instead of dynamic % of max with same rep ranges per workout. I hope this made sense lmao
I'd always recommend more accessories for noobs so go for it
I understand. Is this subjective on a person by person basis? Or has sufficient research been done to legitimize % based stuff like 95%?
whole milk tends to have less protein in it per calorie than 2% or skim milk. Enjoy your man fupa
less estrogen or sugar too
youtube.com
watch this if you want to know how to make yourself a good program, but if your novice lifter just focus on 5x5 or something so much easier to get gains early on, the vid is meant for intermediate people who have stopped making linear gains
Aquaman is that you?
see
chances are your core isn't going to be strong enough to handle much more than you are already doing for dl. When you squat your core will get stronger with it. And obviously you will hit a point deadlifting where it's going to be harder to improve than lower weights on squat, so it will eventually catch up
Whole milk is less processed than that other garbage drinking 2% or (((onions))) milk is drinking sugar water, also you need other things besides protein dude natural fat is good
so should i start doing leg raises, or what?
thanks, I'll check it out. Even when I was working out for a couple years I could never get my squat past 275
you can if you want but it isnt necessary, you are not at a point where you need to work on weaknesses, you just need to get strong overall and you can do that by either, A: increasing weight every time you work out, or B: increase rep range. Ideally just focus on adding weight to the bar doing 5x5 like it says in SS
Milk contains too much fat. It will just store in your body.
Here's basic template of what it entails, I basically copied the program in that video, I've been using it for a year now I've been lifting for just under 2 years total and my maxes are 175/275/405/405(injury), Progress is slow with this program its not gonna be magic but you want it that way, Fast Strength= Injury, I fucked up my back being a retard on deadlifts because I fell for the bulgarian meme and tried to deadlift heavy 5 days a weak
If you are working out hard you burn it, you will get chubby yes if you do GOMAD but thats the point its a mass gainer, if your goal is to be a ripped twink then yes avoid whole organic milk, but if your goal is to get strong then it is King
I have been stuck on 1pl8 and half for years. Either get injured or just have shit form
>EAT MORE
You have to be on a very slight surplus otherwhise you woll be fat sack of shit.
most people under estimate how much they eat if this guy cant squat 115 then clearly he needs to EAT MORE
yea i can for reps, which is honestly a lot for my gym
No, I can only squat 385
No more, no less
>trying to show off legs while they are covered by pants
>wanted to show off squating 385 but didn’t want to look tryhard so added a joke at the end
Kys
mirin those calves
I squat and deadlift on the same day, that's what works for me. I have 2 lower body days a week, 3 upper, 2 rest
>260 squat considered an impressive lift
Wow this board is unironically full of DYEL basedboys
what you didn't get the memo? 4cuck fit is filled with zoomer twinks and r/weightlifting refugees, all the oldfags went to infinite chan
So you'd like to see my legs without pants? Should've expected it from fit. How much do you squat anyway?
Used to be a fat lard and they stayed when I lost weight
>reading comprehension
It says 'at least' in the OP, past two plates means that you are out of beginner mode. It didn't say it was impressive jaw dropping shit.
>295 lb
>150%BW
It's all in the technique.
Why are you masturbating in the pic?
*261
Pounds? Easily. Kilos? No, not yet.
