Hunger is a conditioned response. You are conditioned to feel hungry at meal times, just like Pavlov's dogs were conditioned to salivate (an external indicator of hunger) for the bell ringing.

I eat OMAD and I'm not hungry until close to my meal time.

All these robots spouting CICO are missing a huge part of the picture here. Hormones are key in regulating body composition. You can easily regulate all of the hormones involved in hunger and energy (fat) storage by fasting. There are tons of studies showing this. Tracking calories is also vital, of course, but eating all the time is just making the diet harder.

I would take a few photos right now but I literally just ate my meal and my stomach is about to pop. This is a fairly recent back photo. OMAD has enabled me to put on size and stay super lean. As a natural lifter that was the hardest problem to solve. I could get real lean but at the cost of losing a lot of size.

I've worked a schedule where I skip lunch and then eat dinner way late in the day (past 10:00 PM), and I get fucking starving at around 5:00 PM

If there is no insulin in your body you can burn fat easily so the hunger only lasts for moments before the body burns it's own fuel.

You experience worse hunger when constantly eating and spiking insulin without eating enough calories to fuel your body. You can't burn fat if there is insulin in your blood.

I had my blood sugar and A1C tested multiple times (two for a uni course, two or three for doctor appointment) and I was always well within normal ranges for blood sugar

Preliminary research suggests that people who do OMAD for a long time have an altered glycogen storage/release mechanism, where their body is better at storing energy for the next fast and slow releasing it so that they do not need food in between, while many fatties who eat constantly end up with low blood sugar after just a few hours

I do 22:8 IF, which is basically a long OMAD.
I don't start eating until right when I get home from the gym at around 8:00PM, then I keep eating until I go to sleep at 10:00PM.

I spend the entirety of my day at work and then go straight to the gym while still fasted. Easy as fuck, feel great and still somehow getting stronger after having lost a little over 30lbs.
I started drinking BCAA's with my pre-workout since people were saying it helps keep your muscles from breaking down when you're fasted, but I don't feel like it changed anything.

The relationship between calorie intake and insulin maximum value is not entirely linear. And even then, reducing the eating window lowers the time insulin spikes last.

I feel like I perform better without food before lifting so eating fewer times works out for me.I usually dont eat till 4 or 5 then maybe a snack but usually its a 1500 cal meal

Your assessment is incorrect, since how much glycogen you use up in a fasted state depends on your activity level.

That's what this argument was about brainlet, whether or not you have sufficient glycogen stores after 16h of fasting in order to lift properly.
Also, after you get used to fasting you go into ketosis much faster without fully utilizing your glycogen stores. It takes me about 6-8 hours for my keto strips to show red, and I don't even eat low carb.
