I find it hard to believe someone like me who weighs around 230 at 12 percent body fat needs 230 grams of protein a day. it's pretty much impossible to gain more than a pound of muscle a month unless you're geared up. so 230 grams times 30 is 3.9 kg of protein. where would the other 2.9kg of protein go? your bones and shit dint undergo muscle protein synthesis like your muscles do. But I might be wrong so, whatever. you guys tell me what you think?
I find it hard to believe someone like me who weighs around 230 at 12 percent body fat needs 230 grams of protein a day...
Do you honestly believe you're body turns protein into muscle at a 1:1 ratio. Come on, this is some like pre-school shit.
so are you agreeing with me or? where does all the extra amino acids go then.
No, retard, you need your bodyweight in protein because each pound of muscle doesn't consume only 1 gram of protein.
why not? muscle protein synthesis is mps. if you cant gain more than a pound of muscle a month then where does it go. how does the process require. gimme some science.
It gets wasted- converted to metabolic intermediates and fed into fat/glycogen or broken down, depending on your energy state. You piss out all the nitrogenous leftovers as urea.
so you need to waste some to gain some? so like in order to achieve that maximum level of mps you need some extra for metabolic waste
Yeah basically the recommendations of these insane protein intakes ensure you hit the levels required for max mps. You could get by on way less and still make great gains, but you might be making 95% as opposed to 100% gains. Check out steve reeves diet and the gains he made. Definitely not necessary to get huge protein numbers
also I believe you now but can I get some papers if ya got itll help me push tilapia down my throat if science is encouraging me with is magic words
And by wasted, I mean burned as fuel, just as you'd burn glucose or fat as fuel, albeit a bit more complicatedly.
oh alright yeah I'm fine with 95 percent. I always felt that carbs and relatedly insulin levels and mtor mattered more
No, this is like textbook biochemistry stuff, sorry. The papers establishing this stuff were done long ago. Check out google scholar if you'd like and don't have access to a university for legit journal access.
damn this is gonna suck I smoke hella weed and still have to force myself above 2500 cals/150g of protein a day
Put 10kJ of coal into furnace, don't get 10kJ of energy out, WHY DO I NEED TO PUT MORE COAL IN THEN I GET OUT AHHHHHH
Some of it gets wasted, if you had half that protein you wouldn't see the same results because some of it would be wasted as well. You can get away just fine with 0.6 or so grams per lb of bodyweight but the golden rule is 1 gram per lb for a reason.
How the fuck do I eat 162 grams of protein per day while staying under 2,000 calories without supplements?
Real food is like 36 grams of protein tops per 900 calories.
I figured there was some metabolic inefficiency but not 2 kilograms worth of amino acids a month worth. damn I wish I was a silverback. get jacked off leaves
This is a bad analogy. What does 10kJ of coal even mean.
Jesus Christ hasn't the Whey Jew been exposed enough? Stop drinking that fucking shit.
More scoops m8. If you're not getting at least 3 scoops a day you're getting to little
It's only inefficient because your body doesn't have the signals to put it into muscle. Hence why people on roids get more muscle growth to per unit of protein or work.
Yeah honestly just eat cottage cheese or yogurt or something. Most whey is contaminated with various organic and inorganic compounds, e.g. heavy metals
bro I'm just gonna juice then this shit is so annoying working hella hard all month for a pound of muscle
Wow, it’s almost like the more you weigh the more protein you need to grow
Roids predispose you to many cancers, as well as heart disease and liver damage- use at your own risk big boi
not if you take rad 140 and metformin doe. rad 140 blocks protein action and metformin has been shown to redirect glucose to muscle cells and lower insulin while making it more efficient in lean tissues like muscle
So there's no way apart from powder?
just eat pizza every day. dirty high fat foods will put cals in you.
It's 1g protein per lb of lean muscle mass. More than that is overkill for most people. Safe to go a lil bit over because not 100% is utilized.
Chicken breast
Turkish yogurt
>Retard thinks protein is converted at 100% into muscle mass. Demands an explanation for protein metabolism because he came up with a dumb idea sitting on his couch.
Seriously OP pick up a fucking biochemistry textbook. This is like your demanding we explain how planets don't fly around in square orbits
