It stops my gains, but probably only because I’m a raging alcoholic and I do everything to excess, like getting so involved in going to the gym that I find it necessary to post to a Bulgarian caviar trading forum at 11:40 on a Friday night. Why won’t God just take me already?
I trained buzzed/drunk for about 3 months almost every day. Gains didnt outright stop at first but as i peaked squatting became much more difficult. focus became way harder. on the plus side though I was making new friends and shit because I was so so happy and eased so that was cool.
So do social gains>physical gains?
alcohol wrecks your metabolism and testosterone
nah it fuckin doubles it cunt cuase I wanna fight every fuckin cunt I see ay.
Alcohol fucks you up in a lot of ways. But I think the worst is killing your sleep. Can't gain if you aren't sleeping efficiently. Sleep is one of the most important things in life.
While your liver is processing alcohol it can't do much of anything else, so it fucks your metabolism.
It also harms your sleep.
I'm quitting booze and now I can't stop eating candy. I never liked candy while I was drinking
Pretty much yes in all categories unless your main goal is to just get stronger. If you are not anorexic or fat, you should only gain muscle for yourself, because girls will care more about your personality anyway
trading one addiction fro another. thats life man
Alcohol fucks with your blood sugar levels. It will go away eventually
>That insecure, aggressive drunk guy at every bar
Read a strongman book, faggot
>Simulated death is one of the most important things in life.
I fucking hate this. It's taking up a third of my life. When will science put an end to Morpheus' tyranny?
Looking at it the wrong way. Start recording your dreams for fun, you'll be excited to sleep every night.
Not him but
>already remember dreams
>can remember dreams from childhood even
>don't give that much of a shit
Sleeping is trash
Depends what your goals are. There's been plenty of people who drink heavy and are as strong as fuck. If want to be pretty for your boyfriend it might be a different story.
Obligatory drunken deadlifter
youtube.com
aggression = estrogen
I rarely ever remember dreams. Maybe a faint idea of what was going on once in a while
seems like every retard here has 0 self control and doesn't understand moderation
How?
being drunk just makes me really happy and into things... and extreeeeeeemely cocky
i pretty much drink every hour im awake and i havent made any gains for some time now but i also dont lift
>havent made any gains for some time now
How?? I blew up like crazy when I became an alcoholic
Stop masturbating, seriously.
yeah and they care more about your dick size as well
I don't, now what?
>ingests a literal toxic poison substance
>ponders whether or not it will affect optimal athletic performance and gains
Drinking occasionally wont have serious effects. But this question is retarded.
Seriously, alcohol is the worst possible thing for your gains. Raises estrogen and decreases testosterone, in addition to having a lot of calories with no real nutrition. It's poison for your body.
Alcohol negatively interacts with oral steroids. Which is why #allnatural lifters avoid it.
Not if alcohol is consumed in moderation. A couple pints at the end of the week or an ice cold brewski after a long day at work won't give you man titties.
I almost cried laughing at that
It doesn't stop them outright but greatly slows them.
First off it slows muscle protein synthesis
Secondly it fucks your recovery
Thirdly you can't lift as hard while hungover
>Tfw did deadlifts hungover today
>Normally max out at 405
>Couldn't even pull 385 for 1 today
seconding this.
Here's my SS chart.
I've started drinking every other day (rest days) in may and ended wasting a lot time and effort trying to break through plateous at novice-tier weights.
Changed routines and stopped drinking 2 months ago and i am able to make progress again.
forgot pic
alcohol
>inhibits lypolisis
>lowers testosterone
>increases cortisol
>upregulates aromatese
>hard on your liver
>7 kcal per g
>dehydrates 10ml of water per 1ml
go for it GOY!
>But I think the worst is killing your sleep.
Take phenibut with it, I sleep like a baby for 11-12 hours after mixing some
It’s all about balance. It will slow down your body in terms of healing after workouts which means less lifting. See how much volume you’re missing out on by the month and compare to another month no drinking if it makes a difference but fuck it dude alcohol bad for body but body good for alcohol. You might get stds
