nice. but people need more volume

it should be 5x5 desu

It's like nobody gets the idea behind it, it's called starting STENGTH for a reason. Just run for 4-6 months before going to a BB or intermediate PL program.

I dont really like power cleans and Id change them for rows
Better for beginners

I agree; I feel like beginners are more liable to snap their shit up without coaching. I pulled something in my shoulder doing DB cleans this week - which was thankfully nothing serious - and I do DB cleans all the time. And the implicit "the only way to make progress is by adding weight to the bar" attitude of SS is not beneficial for inexperienced lifters who lack mind-muscle connection and coaching for technical lifts like cleans.

Best contribution to Jow Forums in months if not years, excellent work user.

Novices need hardly any volume for strength gains.

add a 4channel watermark just for shits and giggles

>Y'all
Go back to Tumblr you fucking faggot

Novices need volume to get a feel for technique and muscle mass. Strength gains are mostly driven by nervous system adaptation.

Thank

That's why I said fair warning instead of "NEVER EVER DO THIS EVER". You'll potentially lose on some strength gains, "potentially". Otherwise, who cares if you do sub them? Rippetoe isn't going to come to your gym and lecture you, and it's not like rows do nothing for your body.

nice

need a source on the manga you used

Dumbbell Nan Kiro Moteru?

Amazing. I've been pushing reading the programming section of SS for weeks. This is very helpful.

ftfy OP.

I like it. Even if you personally don't like SS this is a good visualization.

OP here, top kek m8

wait is this really what it says in the book lol

Glad you like it

damn, i think i'll read ss now, desu desu

kys trap-chan

What do I do if I can't power clean at my gym?

For what reason? Rows work, but it's kinda sub-optimal

Great job OP! This will legit help people understand SS rather than just do the phase 2 and wonder why they stall.

I personally prefer Stronglifts5x5 over SS tho. You will get your squat and diddly up way faster on SS but SLs bigger volume does in my experience give better upperbody results, esspecially if you add dips and chins like suggested on the site.

I'd say if you wanna squat and DL as much as possible do SS, but if you're fine with a 2pl8 squat and 3pl8 DL but also wanna decent physique do SL.

Fpbp
Not bad op. Autistic but useful, I’ll meme it for you

Man you can get people to do anything if an anime girl tells them to

You misspelled Texas

Looks good OP, it'd be nice if we could get this into the sticky since most Jow Forums newfags will check it out.

>can't do Power Cleans because they give me wrist tendonitis for weeks

Can't wake up

i really dont know what any of those numbers 1x2 etc mean. why does nobody explain this

>Novices need volume to get a feel for technique
I'll give you that.

>and muscle mass
That's actually more of an intermediate/advanced need.

>"Early on in training, there’s a very weak relationship between gains in muscle and gains in strength. Gains in muscle mass may explain as little as 2% of the variation in strength gains for new lifters."
>"For more experienced lifters, gains in muscle mass may explain up to 65%+ of the variability in strength gains, highlighting hypertrophy as a key factor for strength gains in trained lifters."

good shit dude, make one for post-SS like aesthetics/strength paths

I've managed to get to 175/275/345/405 with stupid bro splits and my lifts haven't been progressing for months now. Would I benefit from doing this?

Saved. Nice.

Saved. You're doing great work, user.

This is so fucking bad honestly. You put on very little muscle because there's no volume and can get the same or better strength gains from a program that does have volume.

I need this fucking manga to get an anime adaptation, Jesus fucking Christ
