I got a gym membership to improve and feel better about myself, but it completely backfired.
I am a fairly skinny guy who joined the gym about two weeks ago, so I'm still a newbie. I asked the gym coach what to do and he told me to go over every machine 3 times each day and I did that for about a week. Then after that we started working on individual muscles each day (chest day, leg day etc). 4 days ago was chest, 2 days ago was shoulders and today was back muscles day. Now my interaction with my gym coach so far goes like this GC for gym coach

Me: fine thanks, what should I do today?
And the he proceeds to show me my workouts I should mention I'm still a newbie and don't know how most machines work so today I asked him for help and he helped me but after he was done I overheard him say to another guy

I felt so hurt and broken, I have never been disrespectful to him or anyone else in the gym why would he say that? I kind of looked up to him a bit too. I didn't even complete my workout today I just excused myself went home and almost cried and wrote this.
