Yeah. I was stalling on bench at 185 about 6 months ago before switching to 531. I'm also 5'11 and 206.

any tips?

Strengthlets btfo

>5’8 160 21 y/o

These are all working singles too. I estimate my true maxes are about 20 pounds higher on each lift

Where do you fail? At your chest or at lockout

I hadn't actually paid attention to that, but I think around 3 inches above chest

If you doing something like strong lifts try adding a 5x5 bench day at like 60% on your OHP days You need a lot of volume to break the bench plateau

I did smolov junior for one 3 week cycle and it turned my 205lbx5 to 225x7 full rested

also I tend to not get DOMS on chest so I'm thinking maybe I'm not properly contracting my chest and my shoulders are assisting, which is why i fail on bench but haven't failed on OHP

Mogged

Spoto press my nigger

my DL is 355 now and my OHP is 160. didnt bother updating the SS

I usually hit those working singles in my first post for 3 sets, my estimated maxes for squat and DL right now are 345/425. U mog the shit outta my OHP though I can still barely clear 145

how much should I lower the weight? just feel it out?

How the fuck are you 230bp with a 265 squat?

Are you fucking 350lbs?

Coming off a hip injury from work from a year ago. 5"6" 143lbs

No I'm 206. I was 215 in July and I've been slowly losing weight. And I don't have a 230BP. I was only able to get 220x2 BP on a 1+ AMRAP. Next cycle (3 weeks) I'll hit 2pl8 1+ AMRAP.

I've been training 5/3/1 for 6 months as I stalled at 185 BP.

you don't do legs, do you?

Attached: 12_10_18.png (1119x470, 72K)

That doesn't explain your extremely disproportionate squat

>tow truck mode

Attached: symmetry.png (811x802, 403K)

Squat too high or too low? I know my DL should be like 20-25 lb higher. I squat and bench (same day) twice a week and deadlift once a week. All in all a 78 on symmetry. Not too bad I wouldn't think.

If I could upload a pic of my progress graphs from Personal Training Coach I would.

Start with 60% increase from there. It should be a long 3-5 second pause so don’t worry about going heavy

I use to do it a lot. My old squat was 245lbs max then I had a hip injury. So im a blue man for the time being

nice. idk how to up my DL. my form is pretty good but it's always been by far my weakest lift. maybe i just need to eat more

7 months in
>score 65.7: intermediate

the fuck

I mean I guess my view is just skewed because I see most people hitting a 315 squat at around the time that they hit the 200 on the benches. You might be able to make leg gains much faster if you up the volume or the training maxes in 5/3/1

You must have a disproportionately high OHP. In which case I must congratulate you.

numbers famborgini

Deficit deadlifts shot me up from a shaky 385 to a really clean 405

Attached: Screenshot_20181114-061411.png (720x1280, 243K)

Might be because i'm a 56 kg, 5'4 ultramanlet
OHP: 45×3
Bench: 62.5 × 5
Incline bench: 50 × 8
Squat: 90 × 1
Deadlift: 85 × 5

Pull ups: 7 × 3
Chin ups: 13 × 3
Measures are in kgs of course

You should just go to the gym regularly and do a linear progression program until you stall.

Funny enough I’m actually still linearly progressing

Would someone mind telling me what this software is?

I think I'm finally breaking out of my plateau on bench.

>homegym
>no squat rack
I have to OHP in order to squat 165lbs.
I really need a gym membership.

Attached: nodiddly.png (933x813, 380K)

What is this? Reverse google finds nothing.

Nevermind, see it in this image.

where my fellow /starting strength/ friends at
is it detrimental to do curls ( 3 x 8 ) and pull ups ( 5 x 5 instead of 3 x 5 ) at the end of every workout when following starting strength?

also, is working out every other day bad?

Attached: Progress 1.png (1172x857, 417K)

Show your actual numbers then.

do you know the difference between kg and lb? or are you competing at a high level

umm....

Attached: fouryearslater.png (963x1002, 298K)

as long as you do your additional work after your main lifts you should be fine, might even help with your other lifts. leave at least a day between workouts, like m/w/f or t/th/s so you have enough time to recover

5'6 150

63kg skelly lanklet here, finally joined blueboi club this week after three months. Measures are rounded to 1kg, I'm sure you do the same because other settings give you an unfair advantage :^)

I squat with the bar on my traps, what squat is it even?

Slowman here, still going slow.
Finished my first year of "proper training" recently, I should move to an intermediate program but I keep delaying it.

Attached: gotta go slow.png (1348x1648, 459K)

Why are people whining about OHP? squats and deads are the real hell.

Attached: yup.jpg (1181x935, 137K)

My symmetry score is -32 lmao

Attached: symmetrybro.png (1481x636, 111K)

>4pl8 chinups
What is this sorcery

high bar back squat

most people have more trouble progressing with OHP

It's the hardest of the lifts, so it's easy to stall

Should i high bar or low bar? My knee is messed up so i cant ATG it anyway.

Loose ligaments are a bitch

How bad is this lads?

>84kg
>1.83m
>1.5 year liftan

That's not bad.

>been avoiding deadlifts for 3 weeks because stalling at 285 x5
>squat stuck at 255 x3x5 because I'm reducing Cal intake
>buy belt
>bust through plateau this weekend
feels goodman. on my way to greenman if I can just stop being a presslet

What's going on with that OHP big guy?

Intermediate aryan

I'm so close to leaving all hue's of blue behind boys.

>129 KG Partway through hectic cut.
>1.88m

Attached: Symmetric.png (1536x1275, 499K)

W-w-why ehehe?

Along with the BP, it's my weakest lift. But I'm getting there. Gave myself a period of 3-5 years of natty liftan to get to some "serious" numbers.
I'm hoping for the best.

How many years, lad have you been in the game?
Also, are you a manlet?

Holy lol

1 year before getting a tear in my rotary cuff and fatting around for another year, this time 2.5 years consistently.
In freedom units I'm around 6'3"

I just noticed you posted your weight and height on the original post.
Gotta say, it looks nice. You're the kind of guy that radiates respects in the gym.
There are two kinds of people... The ones you tell to fuck off when they ask you how many sets you get left and the ones you answer with "I have x amount of sets left bro, you want to join in?"
You are the kind of guy that gets to join in. no homo.

>1.78m, 99kg
2-3 year progress, upper body lifts getting pretty close to Orange/Exceptional

lower body is embarrassing, but have to build up slowly, to not fuck up the healing process of my back

Attached: SS.png (958x957, 473K)

You should think about some programing, m8.
Your symmetry is all over the place.
Also, aren't you too heavy for manlet height?

shut up jess

>green
>calls others strengthlets

Its like a manlet calling children short

>You should think about some programing, m8. Your symmetry is all over the place.
did you even read, or just look at the picture?

I saw it, but you fucked up your back because someone told you there's a thing called "leg day".
Squatting is an every day job, friend.

no, i fucked up my back, because someone hit me with his car lol
before that, my squat/dl were advanced too

>someone hit me with his car

eh... If you squatted enough you would have been able to react and rabbit jump before that car ever hit you.
You are the only one to be blamed here desu.

Thanks man, I always tried to be friendly when I still went to a commercial gym. It has been a while since then though, I'm pretty lucky that I have a friend who is a qualified PT and has all of the equipment we need at his place so no membership fees for me :^)

We are considering going to a commercial gym now though that there is finally one in my town that isn't a PF style place so we can be heavy and loud.

just make sure to keep your core tight, and a friend you trust to help bail you out never hurt.

lmao
>You are the only one to be blamed here desu.
apparently, i walked through a red light, and got hit from the side, so i totally agree with you

homegym, so no need for a spotter

I beat you in all categories except weight pullups.
350lb Back Squat, 420lb Deadlift, 270lb Bench, 175lb strict/OHP but my pullup is 45lb added. Yet my body is intermediate all over.

Sucks being 6'1" ;)

Im 68 and blue as fuck. Probably not accurate since I dont do 1RM training always 10-15 reps. I usually target doing 45 seconds rather than reps though.

I feel much better after making my workouts more cardioish.

Look, I'm not trying to be a douche, but all of this could have been avoided if you took lifting more seriously.
Even if by some reason you couldn't avoid the crash either by jumping to the side or jumping over the approaching vehicle, you could have braced your core like when your doing the (PROPER!) squat or deadlift which would have deflected the car upon impact.
Just saying.
But hey, at the end of the day at least you lived the tell the tale.

Fucking shoulders.

Attached: 1112.png (1100x812, 495K)

my upper body's been stalled for 2 weeks, lower body still making gains each workout. what should i do?

Attached: blue.png (1025x1280, 400K)

>which would have deflected the car upon impact
not that guy, but im fairly sure you are trolling lol

I'm still kinda fat, that's why my pullups and dips are so weak, I'm about 9 months in at this point, still gotta drop another 30lbs or so.

went from 220 - 192, it's been slow but I'm really enjoying going to the gym now, started working in cardio after every work out session too and that's helped a bit

Attached: still fat.png (1217x1307, 447K)

really glad to see i'm not the only one who's focusing on weightloss

been doing a variant of greyskull LP for almost 3 months now, down from 234 to 215bw so far. Looking to cut slowly down to 180.
