Woman here. I live in a country where army is mandatory. I want to be in a special navy unit but I'm in zero shape (literally). Is one month enough to get in shape? Are there any specific exercises I should do? Do more cardio or more lifting?

Dont do it, i served 3 years of mandatory service in a combat role, its a waste of health and time. For a woman its even worse, might even cause fertility issues.

cardio + cardio + pushups
run 5 days a week for 1 hour but at an embarrassing slow speed, and once a week run until you feel like dying
usually those sport tests you need to pass are a joke, it's more about if you are willing to run until you die/pass out

For reference and assuming the special navy unit isn't the group of sluts who get fucked by every guy on a ship, are coincidentally pregnant each time they are meant to deploy and then leave ruined careers in their wake after sexual relationships with other navy crew, most people take months if not years of consistent effort to be competitive in being selected.

My knee caps nearly snapped just from basic infantry training. Even if you were a boy, Id tell you to stay out of any infantry/ranger/special unit, get in some light duty unit like tech/logistics/organisation/communications etc where you can get a career going or learn skills useful in civilian life. You still get to do fun stuff either way, but its more fun in hindsight if you can wake up ten years later without your knees hurting.

Which country? That decides quite a lot of what you can do. Entrance tests vary per country if you are pushing for special forces (which you can forget right now if you are in shit shape and have 30 days). More info needed.

Cardio and functional strength. You're gonna be ran until you vomit and you'll have to drag people around and carry far more weight than your body is designed to, so farmer's walks and plyometric exercises for your joints too.

Do Starting Strength mon, wed, fri and also push ups, pull ups, and crunches. Do HIIT (for example running with high intensity four minutes, low intensity two minutes, high intensity four minutes, repeat four times) tue, thur, sat. Relax on sunday.
