So, Jow Forums, what do you think about calluses?
Recently I was with girls who pointed them out and said that it was gross. I like the calluses as a testament to my effort, and it helps with the heavy weights. What do you think?

Your hands are only as strong as your forearms so train your gripstrength if you want any of it to master. Calluses will eventually stop bleeding once you've built them up. Never use gloves, chalk and tape can be used if you tear a callous odd off in the middle of a lift. To get maximum utility and aesthetic value, build an even callous on your hand by actually using them for manual labour and shit. Use Okeefes or burts to take your calluses from itchy and dry to a sturdy leather.

the rip was from 315lbs deadlift 6x3, and I'm still a novice only having lifted for about a month and half now. I train grip every time I left with dead hangs and squeezing the barbell when training. I also got a captain crusher, can close the 1. Any tips, user?

I soak my hands in warm water once a week and scratch them off. Otherwise they get too big and start bruising.

Those are all good grip exercises, carry on. If you can get meaty forearms, they'll bring in meaty flaps

Fix your grip and then keep peeling or scraping them off. They'll eventually turn into smooth bumps

I train climbing exclusively and my hands were in worse condition.
Rips though, make effective training impossible.
So what I did is I got a decent moisturizer cream and save each coffee grounds after usage, mix them with olive and use that as a scrub daily.
So now I have callouses that are a testament to my hours clicked on the wall and effort I put in and they are not a repugnant destroyed hands like yours are right now.
Wife is also happier with my hand care routine as I stopped destroying any fabric that's delicate and prone to damage due to unsmooth skin.

One of the first things I noticed when I started lifting my faps did not feel as nice. Now I always take care of my hands so it does not feel like I am being jacked off by a construction worker.

Gripping the bar "properly" really just moved the callouses down from my palm onto my finger area. I don't have that pinch line across my palm.
For my fingers I shaved them down with an emory board, and moisturized the shit out of my hands.
It's odd, but they seem to be calming down. They are still there, I can still feel how thick the skin is, but they aren't getting all puffy and rough like at the beginning.
