I need help my guys

I can always do 20 pushups in a row, and one time, I made it to 30.

I need to make it to 60 in under 2 minutes in a month.

What would be some push-up routines to maximize pushup numbers? I'm thinking Factorial Up and Downs, where I start at five for the first set and increase that number by one every time I finish a set, and then go back down the sets again, but I'm sure if that'll help boost numbers

Any help?

Try doing push ups followed by more push-ups.

Do 1 more pushup than you did the previous day, every single day. If you did 20 yesterday, do 21 today, and 22 tomorrow.

Thanks I'll give that a go

Add in some food and rest and you're set.

Heck but there's not enough days for that

So do 2

do a lot of total reps with good form and don't go to failure. pavel's beyond bodybuilding book has some good ideas (pdf freely available on libgen)

Do 1.5x your max number without leaving the pushup position. You can pause for a rest if need be, but don't get off the ground until you've completed 1.5x your max.

If your max number of pushups without resting is 20, then do 30 pushups without getting off the ground. You can rest after doing 20, but don't stand up or lay down, just hold the pushup position while you catch your breath before continuing on to 30. Eventually you'll be able to get to 30 without resting at all. Once you've reached this point, you should be doing 45 pushups without getting up. Continue doing this daily and you'll see great progress.

I started off only able to do 10 pushups without resting. I can now do 100 pushups without rest, and 150 before I get up.

Joining the Navy?

Heckin thanks dude. This is great advice

And yeah. I need to help out a dear friend with the bonus.

I hope it goes well for you

Dont go for reps, go for time.
Do 2 mins of pushups, then 1.5, then, then 1, then .5. Do situps in between sets. It'll build your upper body endurance

You'll never make it. No one out of basic does. Enjoy cutting grass for three years

Remember to stretch your wrists, keep your hands on the floor properly (fingers spread and gripping ground, center not down, not all weight on heel), and keep proper form. Or you could develop wrist, shoulder problems. Don't overdo it suddenly too. I guess you can try greasing the groove but pay attention to form and warmup

Pushups are more muscle memory than actual muscle strength and/or size. Do more throughout the day and you'll be able to do more in the 2 minutes.

Is this for APFT?
Google 100 push-up plans. There are some good ones out there. But it comes down to a combination of tons of volume and some endurance sets.

>Factorial Up and Downs
Where the fuck did you get that name? That series is clearly not related to a factorial.

Thanks man

Thing is, I start buckling at 1:20 remaining. I can't even go for a full minute before I fall to my knees, and it's mainly because of extreme fatigue in my arms. I have a nice core, and can plank for a while, but it's my arms that give out when I'm trying to go through the 2 minutes.

Good to know. I was putting all of the weight on the "Heels" of my wrists. Thanks man

I hadn't known that dang. I even bought a weighted vest, thinking that if I could do five in that without stopping, it would translate to something like 7 or 8 unweighted pushups.

Thanks. I didn't know to search for that.

I'm retarded my guy. I went to a DEP meeting and one of my DEP members named it a Factorial, and I've just been calling it that ever since.

The first name I gave it were Pyramid Pushups.

>Thanks man

I'm legitimately rarted. No college would accept me, but the Navy wants to make me a Nuke.

My ass

I'm guessing you're an Army fag, so let me tell you what worked for me when I was in.

1.) Pyramids at least a few times a day.
2.) Drop and do push ups every time you do something wrong/fuck up/whatever
3.) Do push ups on any breaks you have before bed.

I know you don't want to hear thid, but the best way to get good at push ups is to just do a shit load of push ups. I've doubled my max in like a week doing shit like the above

I made it as a medic which is an additional year on top for just SOCM which is arguably the hardest portion of any sof medic pipeline. Don't be salty to this dude just because you a shit

Time to grease the groove.
Do 5 push-ups every 5 minutes every hour you’re awake

Wait what? You're just joining to give someone money?

They could, like, join instead.

The military sucks dude.

Thanks man. And no, I'm a Navy fag

They can't; they broke an arm when they were young. Besides, they're in a shitty hole and they're in a deficit, making as much money as they can with their skillset. Plus, I really fucked them over a year ago or so. Not financially or physically, but emotionally.

Not romantically or anything; they're actually a person over the internet. Besides, I won't need to buy food, room and board, or anything for 6 years so YEET
