There are many factors at play when it comes to SEAL hubris, most specifically is the method of joining. Delta only takes in guys they THINK will be good for delta, they don't just let any schmuck into CAG selection and they never let someone who just got out of basic in. all of delta is comprised of ex-spec ops guys (rangers, Green berets, even some SEALS and Air force dudes) because they have the experience and knowledge to actually be useful. SEALs just take any enlisted or officer right out of bootcamp, meaning that many of the guys who pass are just really tough dudes and not actually experienced fighters.

I think you're missing something here. Both of them live like this to continue moving. Their fear of the unknown is combated by constant grinding and preoccupying themselves with goals. They constantly drown out doubt and negativity by refusing to let go of their work ethic. That's extremely evident with Goggins. For the hater who started this thread, you sound like a faggot dude. I'm listening to Goggin's book and am on the last hour of it. It was great. You can learn something from everyone if you can put your own shit aside long enough to actually lets that fucking peanut between your ears absorb some knowledge.
