how fucked am I?
Half my toenail fell off
ew fuck off faggot. No one wants to see your stinky ass toe
Not at all. Ripped a nail completely out on a MTB disc brake once. Cannot tell now, although it is slightly smaller.

I lose toe nails and hair all the time. Not a big deal
Jow Forums - Fitness & Health
Not a big deal. I dropped a 45lb pl8 on my toe and like 4 months later half the nail fell off.
Just remember to cut it straight when it starts to grow back

Dr. Brundle, I presume?

You could say the same about 99.9% of Jow Forums.
Ingrown nail, wat do?
True enough, although ~99.9% is obvious hyperbole.
I stand by my initial statement.
Go to the doctor.
doctor is the only answer
t. lived with one for months when I was a teenager because mom wouldn't take me to the doctor
"just soak it in peroxide it'll go away"
mine was so infected I probably could've lost my leg
Mine looked exactly like that. Lived with it for probably a year or two (stupid decision). Tried peroxide, digging it out myself etc etc. Doctor fixed it a week after my first appointment.
Next year same thing on my other toe, went straight to the doc and got it fixed.
Maybe hyperbole, but do the math...

Do you really think there have been that many innovative, informative, and helpful posts on Jow Forums? Probably not.
Get an appointment with a podiatrist. It's a 5-10 minute procedure and you're done.

Keep it clean and wait until it grows properly.
T. Retard that couldn't cut his toenails properly and managed to get ingrown toenails several times.
It grows back in a month
If you're willing to endure pain, you can cut it out yourself. May take multiple attempts to get all of it. You literally need to cut and and pull out the side of the nail that is digging into your toe.
Had that myself twice. First time I dug it out myself. Second time I said "fuck that" and visited a doctor.
it will never ever grow properly on its own
That's not true. Lost 90% of a nail once due to infection. It just kept flaking off, and started at the nail-bed- looked really weird where I didn't have any nail at all except on the edge of my finger. Regrew just fine.
But then again, this was on my finger and not a toe. I believe if you actually SMASH your toe and really damage the underlying tissue, THEN it won't regrow.
