Running in winter

I really want to go for a run in -3 degree Celsius. But I dont want to get pneumonia or just get bound to bed for christmas.
What should I know? How should I dress?

I did the mile in winter track back in high school in ran all the time in the freezing cold. Unless it is some absurdly low number you will be fine.

Warm fucking clothes
Multiple socks, shirts, pants

The idea was to run and feel the cold tho.
I wanted to go t~shirt and hoodie.

You fucking pussy

Tube scarf, warm hat gloves and socks. That's how I roll.

Can somebody shop that Jew Jew star out?

that's the way to do it for short runs. i hate being bundled up and sweaty.

It's -3 degrees Celsius.
You don't even need a hat for that

Also wondering this op. I don't want to freeze to death.

It's miserable

Running isn’t fitness.

-3 is the temprature kids go out in to play in the snow youll be just fine running in it even in shorts and a tshirt

I run with five fingers at -35c, you will be alright.

This is what I usually do
>45+
shorts and t shirt
>35-45
switch to long sleeved shirt
>25-35
switch to long pants
>15-25
add headband and thin gloves, windbreaker if windy
>0-15
switch to hat and warmer gloves, add sweater
>-15-0
switch to warmer socks, add balaclava
>below -15
add light jacket

just avoid areas without wind cover, wind is the killer on cold runs.

> Running

Never gonna make it

I just like running

Don't bundle up too much. If you're wearing too much, you'll start to overheat when you start really sweating and want to take off your layers, leaving you sweaty and exposed to the cold, and being cold and wet is way worse than being sightly underdressed in the first place.

Stick with warm pants, good socks and a light jacket, don't break out the heavy winter gear for running.

>STOP LIKING WHAT I DONT LIKE

Ew that star

>Running
>Can't dress himself

>tried to time myself running an 800m in 1 degree C weather last night
>cold air literally gives me some sort of shock and I couldn't breathe properly for a good 15 minutes

Either run during the day or stick to treadmills senpai

I live in Funland so I've been running or nordic skiing through winter all my life. General rule of thumb is that you should feel bit cool when you go out and are just walking.

Generally at around 0 to -5 C I wear thing thermal pants and long sleeve shirt against skin, then on top I wear not-fully-skin-tight skiing thights that are windproof on the front, but breath on the back side. Then windbreaker, beanie that is windproof on the front, breathable on the back again. No gloves, and only a thin neck gaiter if even that. Could do with just normal running thights and something to warm up the dick, but sea winds are a bitch.

When it starts to get colder I just add fleece layers to top/bottom if needed, warmer neck gaiter, gloves etc. As long as you aren't wearing some cotton shirt that gets drenched in sweat you are ok. Once it gets down to like -20 or -25C then the usual full combo of sweat wicking layer, thermal layer, and wind proof layer is needed, and proper winter running shoes start to become important just for warmtn. In general the jacket can be something that just blocks the wind and lets the sweat evaporate, you don't need some expensive goretex jacket unless you got the money and regularly run in the rain for long durations. Thermal layers can be had for cheap, just go with the two layers approach, thinner and then thicker one to be layered on top if needed. Neck protection is overrated, good beanie is essential.

Also who the fuck gets pneumonia from cold lmao htfu

You need a jacket that stops wind and light clothes underneat. Normal shoes, workout pants and socks. If your dick gets cold, wear shorts under your pants.
It's cold at first, but soon you'll generate lots of body heat and won't want a lot of cclothes on.
Be careful not to slip on the ice.

This
Just get a windproof jacket and some good termal tights. If you easily get cold legs, get soccer socks that go up to your knees, they will help.

I walk with weight vest and when I first get out yesterday (-5) it was cold as fuck 'cause it was windy but after 5-10min I'm sweating like crazy. If I had winter clothes on I would overheat.

After 1-2km you'll be so warmed-up you wont even notice the temperature around.
>t. Running 16km every other day

Don't be ridiculous. Can someone plz shop in some big khazar milkers?

Cover your extremities well and you'll be fine mate. -3 is warm in some countries this time of year.

>The cold
>Getting any disease

Look you get diseases from other people. The chances of you getting sick from the outside when it is cold outside are slim to none. The problem comes when you come back inside and deal with other people. People carry diseases. You can then catch said diseases. Which when exposed to the cold shocks your system so fighting off a disease is just a little harder plus usually in the winter people head indoors and therefore there are more people you can come in contact with which can infect you. It's not the cold that kills. It's the people that surround you.

Where do temperatures range from +45 to -15?

Never trust the (((Japanese)))

Buy thermo clothing and running gloves
Jews fear the samurai.

>-3°C
Longjohns and longsleeve shirt baselayer, shorts, t-shirt, thin gloves, thin beanie, midweight socks, trailrunning shoes. Sunglasses if there's snow on the ground and the sun is shining.

>thin gloves at 15 celsius
are you gay user?

How about running on snow? I don't feel like snapping my neck right now.

What do I do about the breathing in the cold air ?

It's my fucking weakness, I can run naked in the cold but the moment I breathe it in I'm done for. Do masks for heating up air before it passes through the nose exist? Or something
>wear scarf or anything makes me suffocate since the more I run the more air I draw in

Don't wrap up too much, you'll warm up as you run and then you'll overheat.

Layers is important. I ran the other day in -1C. Running tights, t-shirt and running jacket. I wore a headband to cover my ears, but I've ordered a thin hat for future.

Breathe through nose only

That's what i tell my gf

I've heard that before, any explanation as to why?

Just did the run.
After reading the thread went for
>beanie
>long sleeved shirt
>light jacket
>gloves
>thick socks
>cargo pants as I am scrub withotu running gear
>sneakers
>light shemagh

The run was very good. And I overclothed a bit.
