Cholesterol is a anti-inflammatory helper, and it tries to help the inflammation caused by sugar. Just because you find cholesterol at the scene doesn't mean it caused it. Higher cholsterol is just a marker for the helping of inflammation caused by someone else.

You also seem to be doing what you claim others are doing, which is over simplifying the mechanisms at play in the development of a disease. Usually what causes high blood sugar levels is obesity or fatty liver disease, or the over consumption of trans and saturated fats.
The higher your blood cholesterol the faster and more likely atherosclerosis occurs, it's not even up to debate at this point.
We have data on people who are born with insanely high cholesterol levels with NORMAL inflammation markers, I'm talking like people who are in their teens with LDL-C of 400mg/dl, and people like these have an average lifespan of 30-40 years.
There's then the people with bizarrely even higher levels of LDL-C, around 500mg/dl, who usually die at 30 or younger than that from - you guessed it - heart attacks.
It's impossible to have blood sugar levels that high if you have a normal bodyfat% unless you're already genetically fucked to begin with too, for example I drink a lot of chocolate milk which gives me around 200g of sugar(not carbs, but sugar) a day, and my fasting blood glucose score is below 68(which is low even for healthy people).

Furthermore some animals do indeed get issues when fed grains or sugar, but humans are not one of them, lots of high sugar diet experiments have been done on humans which fail to show fatty liver occurances unless fed insane ammounts alongside some fats.

yes, PUFAs oxidize easily, but it's an unregulated process. look up the reverse electron transport chain, and how it affects different types of fat.
