In first picture he's puffing out gut. he's pretty much just skinny fat. In the next ones he's sucking up. And he hopped on cycle in the last two. Don't feel bad for not looking like this or convince yourself you can do it unaided if you're really fat.

No, it isn't...
You need some strength base and dexterity to perform the lifts. Once you got that going, you should train for volume if you want size. Strength gains past beginner are all about CNS training (high frequency, low reps, improving execution). If you want size, though, you got to beat the shit out of the muscle, get pump, and let it recover just enough so you can exhaust it again.

Yes, you need no fruit to get slimmer. Most modern fruit varieties are highly selected in order to be very sweet (high in fructose), such as bananas, apples, oranges etc. Some citric fruits (lime, lemons, tangerines), passion fruit, most berries are OK, though you should not overdo berries as well.
i have a really hard time doing no sugar, man. do you have any recommendations to get past it? I've been trying to cut out fruit but I find I drink extra whey shakes as a replacement.

We're sort of hardwired to take it whenever possible because it used to be very scarce source of quick energy. For myself, it worked best to avoid anything even mildly sweet for a while. After a while, what I usually considered normally sweet became too sweet.
It's pretty simple. It just takes discipline, patience, and planning ahead when food shopping
