Are multivitamins necessary for working out?

I recently started working out and I was wondering if consuming a multivitamin is necessary. I feel I get enough nutrients from the meal plan I'm current on, but everywhere I go I read about these extremely fit individuals who take multivitamins, omega 3, vitamin c, etc. I've also read about overdosing on some vitamins if consumed in excess amounts so I'm just confused rn. What should I do? Take half a multivitamin just to be safe? Consume the whole pill?

multivitamins are a scam. eat your vegetables.

I take em. Everything's a scam depending on who you ask.

You have no way of knowing what is actually in them or other supplements. They have zero audits or screening requirements and need no approval from the FDA.

There have also been numerous studies showing they have no effect and lack the free radical killing properties that naturally ingested vitamins do.

The only ones I'd recommend taking are minerals like Iron & Zinc.

Also....just eat some vegetables. Like said.

I take an A-Z multi vit/mineral just as a precaution.
I'm probably getting everything I need from my diet but if I'm not I'm covered.

Thanks guys. I'll just continue with the veggies for now and see how that goes for me.

Been meaning to ask about this too, thanks OP

why iron and zinc specifically?

It is hard to tell how useful they actually are but they are cheap and unlikley to do harm so I don't see a reason for not taking them.

Just take fish oil and you'll be good

fish oil does nothing

It is pretty much impossible to get enough omega-3 from diet

but it does nothing so that doesn't matter

Great job retard

A standard multivitamin is going to do jack.

Supplements may do things for you though. Definitely look at trenbolone, very effective.

Just keep in mind that multivitamins DON'T REPLACE AN ACTUAL DIET.

I use them (along with Vitamin D3 and protein shakes) but I still eat like two persons daily, with tons of vegetables and fruits included.

Keep a good diet and the vitamins will be good for you too.

Multivitamins are a meme and a scam. For most people, There is no evidence they do shit other than put your wallet on a diet.
Also plenty of evidence that megadoses cause cancer and other diseases.
They are unregulated for purely political reasons.

I take a zinc and a magnesium plus a herbal remedy daily, if you have a good diet multis aren't necessary.

I don't like multis because they often only contain one portion of a vitamin. You're essentially taking a shit ton of portions of vitamins and the good ones are really expensive. I buy individual vitamins/minerals/probiotics that are great quality and expensive and just take them as I need them, alot more affordable and healthier imo.

i take em but i don't think they do much

which individual vitamins and minerals do you take then?
