Is pic related a good cage/price? It has good reviews and looks like it'd do the job
mirin cable setup
You sure you've got enough power outlets there?
This is what I have so far.
Besides a power rack, is there anything that can be recommended?
not me, just a good example of what I'm aiming for
more weights?
i like cables and dumbbells for bodybuilding since they let me increase volume for specific muscles without messing with strength training
but i guess you could use plates instead of dbs
oh
wait
i know
something for reverse hyperextensions would be great since these are goat for ass and erector strength and back health
but you can jury rig it usually with a weight belt or cables
but it is goat if you are serious about squatting and deadlifting
I want to build my own DIY decapitation powercage since they are impossible to afford in Argentina.
I found several guides for the cage part but nothing for the... movable clips? You know the things you use to rest the bar. I can picture several ways of doing it but I would feel safer seeing how people who have actually done it, resolved it.
it only has a 800 lbs weight capacity. Mine has a 1200 lb weight capacity.
Thays my home gym faggot, post your own.
Sorry didn't see this, just saw my basement and was like wtf
This is what i have to say about setup. Mats are stall mats from tractor supply. Weights and crome barbell i got for free for taking out of a basement, dont buy weights new -look on craigslist. Power rack is like 600- dont skimp. Rower was bought used for $300- i got lucky. Bought landmine, dip belt and neck harness from amazon- less than 125 for all three. Found the rusty barbell, only use it for the rows. Made the cable setup, like 40 bucks from home depot, rope like 15 from amazon. Bench was being thrown out on side of road. Adjustable dumbells bought used- craigslist. Solid looking dumbells are actually 50lb calibration weights for an industrial scale that i found in an abandoned building- longest farmers walk of my life. Dont try to get everything at once it will cost you a fortune, just look for deals. Just take your time and build it up, you dont need everything right away.
Got my comfy ass homegym all set up, and here's my only question, what sort of autistic routines could I do to acquire as much gains as possible during the winter break?
I'm currently doing Bill Starr's quicklifts program, but I was also thinking of adding in some forearm work on my rest days, stuff that is useful to do, but wouldn't go into a gym to do exclusively.
I have bumper plates, squat rack, adjustable bench, bar, and some kettlebells.
I was thinking do some forearm/grip work on my rest days? What else? I need suggestions lads.
would love to get some dumbbells but the shit is too expensive. also need a space heater for these winter months
>using pre-workout instead of sticking a fork in an outlet
>never gonna make it
If you are going to lift 800lbs then buy the other one.
But.. you will? i dont think so.
rate my shitshow
What are those trophies?
miring the gnome whiteboard
also what the fuck is up with the plates on your bench
participation awards
looks comfy
the three outside plates look like concrete filled plastic
comfy. is this a room dedicated solely to homegym
>poster of a now-feminized former Alpha Male
>flag of a dying empire, once a great light of the world
How do you not get depressed lifting in there?
I actually own that cage; its great. The adjustable bench that comes with it is fuckin' garbage tho.
Motocross trophies
ran out of space for the board and my ape friend puts the plates like that
you would be correct my friend
my basement gym, as basic as it gets. barbell, squat/bench rack (on 6 inch wooden blocks because i'm not a manlet), flat bench, got a pullup bar hanging from the joists thats not visible in the picture,
i have a little radio down there and listen to some boomer rock station while i work out, my workouts are simple by necessity.
Really fucking comfy user, nice
I'm debating getting this, how much does a decent home gym cost in total? Assuming I want a bench, set of plates, power rack, floor mats, barbell and clips?
what does her coin purse smell like?
>450lb capacity
trash.
mine total cost me everything new with free shipping and a free ez curl bar 830. then I bought rubber mats for $30 from Lowe’s.
kk thanks user
You got your Tetanus shots right?
like salty coins obviously user :P
>flag of a dying empire
What the hell are you talking about ? The closest the USa have ever been to being an empire, was when they were UK's bitch
No pictures of Arnold on the wall? Not gonna make it...
Is this b8? What’s with the gigantic sword and anime figurine? Something you want to get off your chest, user?
Look up diy J-cups
J-cups! That's the name. Thanks user.
Fantastic cage, as another user said (fuck mobile can't reference post), don't get the bench that comes with it.
I went with pic related for bench (def a bit pricey but I fucking love it so much)
$420blazeit with preacher curl thing, 340 without
But you can do fucking leg curls, and leg extension with the preacher curl thing.
Been using this since I moved to a shitty town
After seeing tge webm of that guy choking on a bench with safeties like those i don't think i could ever bring myself to lift at home using anything but a power cage.
>dying empire
>UK’s bitch
Can’t hear you over strongest military on the planet
I don't really see how the safety could fail without somehow chopping through the metal pin, which would probably bend before that would happen. Even if it did, I'd still have the other safety and the bar wouldn't be near my neck
How is life in China? I've been thinking about relocating.
Also, I use the same safeties for squatting, which is a more than adequate stress test for benching
Just don't use clips when you bench. You can always do the roll of shame while dumping plates off.
>this is an average yharnamite home gym
'Mirin'.
Well yeah but its stronger.
Germanon here, my crammed af homegym
Power tower
Weight vest
Gym Rings
Total cost: $80, and I can do a lot of exercises.
damn that’s an expensive bench. You’ll never need one with a 1500lb capacity. Think practical. Use the money you save on a lighter bench on a better barbell
on my cage I have the safeties set in such a way that when my back is arched the bar hits my chest but when it isn’t it hits the safeties
>tfw no Asian child slave to force to squat in my basement dungeon
>anatomical chart
>heavy bag secured our of the way
>2019 calendar already prepared
9/10, classic German autism
No it also has an entertainment system as you can see in the picture.
You must have long arms if you can reach that barbell on the bench
I was squatting in this setup. I have to move the Bench around if I want to squat or Bench, but I also use the Bench with the Cables so it's okay.
rack your pl8s faggot
Looks fine. 800lbs is plenty.
>assuming you'll never lift a ton
And you know what? You never will.
Leave him alone, he heard you get fit from working cables and taking electrolytes
you know the difference between lbs and kg right?
Nicht schlecht
Being able to get a drink of water mid benchpress is a nice touch
>conversioncope
Not gonna make it
Deadlift is done from the ground. Next heaviest lift is the squat. Video of your 800lb squat please user.
>NO U
Not gonna make it
mirin that pull up bar and dip bars
based
What the other user said, unironically mirin german autism
w-why is it a curl bar in the reflection but not in the foreground? am i terminally retarded?
FUAAARKKKK MIRIN THAT SAW CLEAVER
>not the whirligig
BUT WHERE'D YOU GET IT BRO
>wall mounted captain's chair
How do you not have a huge disgusting sweat stain on the wall?
I'd love to be able to lift in that type of lighting instead of my parents basement. Can't wait to have my own house garage and family
You put a towel down you fucking pig
>and family
Mirin
All I'd add is a deadlift jack and a couple of dumbbells. I'd kill for that setup brah.
How else will you charge your Nintendo switch, wii u, DS, DS lite, and back-up DS?
I’m getting there. Here’s what I have in my garage:
-pull-up bar
-2 heavy duty chairs for dips
-adjustable bench
-ez curl bar
-1 dumbbell with clips
-2x 25lb plates, 4x 10lbs, 2x 5lbs
-25lb kettleball
-resistance banda
Hope to find a barbell and more weights soon, maybe invest in a power rack when I have enough money
kek
its the angle. The title even says curl bar
From the high angle that user took the picture, the ez curl bar looks straight. The mirror shows it from the side, so you can see the zig-zag pattern. Imagine that you're holding a fishing hook between your fingers, with the barb facing down.
>he doesn't Vampire Curl
Miring the ghetto pull down
This is mine, all secondhand
This is after I bought more stuff
H0ly hell fully featured
How do you have room for all this ?!
Wtf am I looking at
I own a business and I own the premises, this is the back of the warehouse.
>a Jow Forumsizen is in charge of people's livelihoods
Level with me: it's a chippendales bar, right?
No man, I am just really old and moderately successful.
O B S E S S E D
Does brand matter for pic related triceps cable grip or can I just get a $10 one?
>hey boss, do you-
>employee stands frozen as old man user quietly squats lmao4pl8
>rerack
>"can I help you son?"
mirin
It's a small business and I lift after closing time.
Employees are welcome to use the equipment.
My Father works for me and I inspired him to get fit, really enjoy seeing him work the heavy bag at 67yo.
Spent all weekend building that back workshop, so it's a little cluttered. Not as bad as you might think tho
I was Pyramid Head for Halloween and Zelda is best princess to lift for
I made it, actually planning to make the whirlgig saw next
>MFW this town's not finished yet
