Start counting calories of everything you eat. That includes condiments like ketchup and salad dressing. Does not matter how small, count it. Learn to cook and measure. Especially meat and vegetable. Throw out all junk food including but not limited to pop, chips and candy.

i hate to burst your obese bubble here friend but you need to be really careful to not bite of more than you can chew (which you do regularly but still) in terms of weight loss, otherwise you run a good chance of crashing and binging. you didn't get fat overnight, you're not gonna get thin overnight. don't try to cut out fast food, soda, candy, etc all at once and replace it all with lettuce and water and expect to feel amazing, cuz you won't. try to cut back slowly, drop fast food one month, then soda the next month, then drop candy the month after that, etc. eat 500 calories below your tdee, which will result in about 1 lb lost a week. you can do 1000 calories below your tdee and lose 2 lbs a week, but the more you restrict and the faster you lose, the harder it is to sustain that weight lose and you run the risk of binging hard. go slow, fix your relationship with food, and don't expect magic or miracles. and good god don't do the snack diet bullshit, it's will only give you an eating disorder
