What is the quickest, safest, and most effective way to lose weight?

There's a lot of different methodologies out ther in Jow Forums and I wanted to see if I could get some discussion about them.

Between fasting, omad, keto, paleo, cico, etc. I feel like I spin my wheels just trying to come up with what's best. I've lost 30 lbs this year from 300 to 270 doing OMAD, but I don't know if there is a better way. If I don't get myself below 200 this next year I'm afraid I'm gonna end up eating myself to death.

You're 300 fucking pounds, you're way beyond the point of "quick" anything, but good news is your options all will have more fat loss per week than the skinnyfat folks because you have so much more to lose, so 200 is definitely feasible, under that will need much more work

Work out how many calories you need to be eating per day to lose weight, calculate the calories in *everything* you eat, only eat what you're allowed to eat.

You're going to be hungry because you're starving yourself. If you can get over that or work on coping mechanisms to deal with it, this will 100% work.

Did paleo at a 60% cut off my tdee and i lost 10 kg in 3 months of proper consistent cutting drink nothing but water meat fish or eggs for brotien and mixed veg its easy to achieve but cheat days come every 4 months and its gotta be no junkfood chocolate ect,85 kg ish to 72.8 in 3 months and a week thats my progress op

The quickest methods of weight loss are crash diets - water fasts, soup diets, meal replacement shakes etc. You will be hungry. You will have cravings. You will probably sleep badly, lack energy, etc. If you can stick to it despite all that, you will lose weight rapidly. The problem is that crash dieting is a test of willpower rather than an opportunity to create new habits, so a lot of people who lose weight this way put it all back on very fast.

The most effective way to lose weight is to do it slowly. Download an app to track your food intake. Weigh and measure everything. It doesn't 'look like 5 ounces', fucking weigh it. It's not 'about a cup', fucking measure that shit, because if your estimates are bad or you lie to yourself about what you eat, you're screwing yourself over.

Once you're in the habit of tracking, calculate your TDEE (google it), pick a calorie target 250-1000 cals/day below that. For every 500 calories of daily deficit, you will lose roughly a pound a week. This rate is sustainable for most people. You won't be able to stuff your face with shit, but you can have moderately sized portions of normal foods and learn to eat in a way that doesn't make you fucking fat. You will have to re-learn how much food is reasonable, and what foods you like and don't like. I like the taste of donuts but I dislike being fat more. I don't love eating plain salad by the bag but I dislike being hungry more. There will be some trade-offs like that. Deal with that too.

Exercise is good, but you can't outrun your fork. If you only have enough willpower to deal with one thing, sort out your eating habits. I'm assuming you're fat because you eat crap in excessive quantities. If you have reason to believe your metabolism is fucked up, see a doctor. If you binge eat or eat to deal with shit, see a therapist.

I swear to God op if I could just plant this in your head from a guy who lost 60 kg in a year. Is to just look up the Snake Diet on youtube. Watch all his videos and just take it all in. Fuck working out. It is horrible and makes you crazy hungry when you get home. There is no point in losing weight if you don't fucking slay your eating habits and take full fucking control of them. If you go the route of exercise you are going to lose a good deal of weight in the month then it's going to minimize down to 1% of what you were losing. You might fuck up fasting heck it took me 8 months but once I mastered it I took off in weight loss and now my life is fucking fantastic.

Thanks man, just when I looked at some it seemed most contained a whole bunch of ingredients, mostly green tea extract. I guess I'll just have to try and see what works best for me.
