>Thor only curls 45 lbs
Thor only curls 45 lbs
God of Thunder, not Gains
45lb dumbbell is a heavy curl
Maybe he does volume training?
UUUU
I think he does HIIT with low weight for mass yeah
Is this the secret to reaching the natty limit? Low weight, tons of reps?
Thinking Chris Hemsworth in that picture is not past natty limit.
High weight, tons of reps.
But I cant do tons of reps with high weight. Help!
last I checked curling 40 lb dumbbells for reps wasn't fucking easy, particularly incline.
Tards on this board like to pretend they can rep heavy curls. In reality they can do 1 rep with terrible, swinging form (like that fat fucks videos from years ago).
>disrespecting the bloatlord
Enjoy losing all your gains.
Can't you just into progressive overload using a 4x8 method?
example numbers
>lol I can do 4x12 with 10lbs!, lets up the w8
>do 4x8 with 15lbs, and work my way up in reps until I can do 4x12
rinse and repeat?
Hasn't some guy proven that you can get super ripped with light weights. Something about willfully contracting at maximum capacity.
There has been studies showing that HGH production peaks when you do reps extremely slowly. Like literally 1 min per rep.
basically yes. I think it was baste god jeff who said
"your muscles cannot comprehend weight, all they can feel is the tension you put on them, therefore you should focus on the intensity and contraction of the reps rather than the weight lifted" or some shit.
basically, lift with weight that allows for proper form, and feel that pump.
Keep in mind this is for hypertrophy though, not strength (unless you progressive overload then idfk)
yeah and you will hit a plateau sooner than later.
you won't get past 30, that's already a heavy curl for someone new to the gym.
>Alright Chris we need you to curl these and look like you're really straining yourself
>Chris please stop laughing
>we ca-
>wh-
>okay I'll go speak to the director
>Mr. Hemsworth the director said it'll cover up too much of your body, the best we can do is these 20kg weights instead of the 5kg ones
He goes by Christopher in Hollywood.
So you'd have to hit some strength training if you ever want to hit the 40 mark. Training for volume seems like a great way to get those beginner gains that will set you up aesthetically while you figure out how to raise the weight.
In pic related he's only curling about 66 pounds (30kg)
When did Elijah Wood get tatted up and become a personal trainer?
yeah but you don't get the point, even after some strenght training you're already doing something else than just overloading your biceps and doing 4x8.
You can curl 45's sure, but it is not within beginner territory.
We also have to keep into account that he could be doing 12+ reps
This fucker's face
strict incline curls at 45 lbs for high reps are quite impressive
tru
Hello guys OP here. Pic related is me.
My curl one rep max is higher than weak faggot Thors LOL
True, I have no idea how many reps he's doing. I assumed he would be doing sets of 10-12 but if it's something like sets of 20 then yeah that would be really impressive
you can.
The best progression imho for hypertophy is doing something ike 3x8-12 and every time you hit the upper rep range on all reps you add weight. Over the weeks you can add more sets aswell... For compound I would use slightly lower rep range like 6-10 and for single joint isolations 12-15
So for example you start week 1 at 3x8-12 and end week 5 at 5x8-12 on biceps curls
VOLUME = GAINS
Mmmm I'd like to grab them saddlebags and ride you around your bedroom.
What I do usually is warm up with 20lbs to get a better feel of all my muscles then do my reps slowly with 10lbs while contracting like crazy.
nice. What rep ranges?
Fuck all your sets
Fuck all your reps
Curl hard and true till you reach failure.
Rest and start again.
Failing faster every time? Drop the weight, the only proper set is a continuous drop set till you cant even curl a measily 4kg dumbbell.
Crying is only natural, embrace the pain and feel the burn.
Real talk though after I do this I'm like completely destroyed for days.
>Curl hard and true till you reach failure.
>Rest and start again.
>Failing faster every time? Drop the weight, the only proper set is a continuous drop set till you cant even curl a measily 4kg dumbbell.
How can you work out like this if you actually still have a life?
I haven't done repititive failure lifts since I was 20 and in militiary tech school where I could do nothing but study, lift and sleep for months.
You can't even drive longer than 15 minutes when you do this to yourself. You can barely put on socks or wipe your ass.
just because it hurts doesnt mean its good fo royu
Cope
who cares about wiping your ass when you have big arms?
>gf always comments how she liked me body
>dyel but more fit than normies
>working out compounds, no isolation on arms
>thought she didnt care about arms
>was growing all around from working out consistently
>in bar playing pool
>later when we got home she said how hot it was my arms were bigger than all the other guys in the bar
>wtf... started isolating my arms since then
>normies
>gf
>bar
Let's say you stall at 3x8 and some days barely can squeeze one more rep losing form, then what? Add more sets, same reps? When should you reset the weight and resume progressive overload again?
is this isley's brother?
How the hell do you conduct a study like that? Next time you go to the gym do a overhead press or squat over a 60 second period and get back with us.
Not sure about how long it took since I work out sporadically but I like doing 6x6 curls. Start at a weight you can get 8 solid reps for and drop the weight after each set. I usual start with 45 or 50 then work my way down.
Switch to cheater curls. Having a large muscle group assist you still ensures the other muscle is used up to the point it needs help. Arnold was a big proponent of this.
Oh! Drop sets. Their awesome. I’ve read they cause csn damage, but it sounds like a bunch malarkey to me.
It's what I do. It works alright.
Cns. Whatever you get it.
>peak performance
funny, it looks like you've never run a single marathon in your life despite what your underwear says
>Not when you use your back and swing
Glad to see someone actually lifts
y'all are fucking idiots.
Side note. Hugh Jackman max bench was 245 when he did the 1000 club lift.
Wonder what it was when he was younger.
>Side note. Hugh Jackman max bench was 245 when he did the 1000 club lift.
You know, if you don't train for heavy singles, you won't have great heavy singles...........
Dumbass
Based
Based
>Dumbass
mega-super-gay-faggot-nigger-kike
I think you’ll find that’s
MR
FUCKING
HEMSWORTH
He looked better with long hair.
Tfw can incline curl 20 kg for 10 reps and do weighted chins for 3-4 reps with 40kg. My biceps still suck.
lol
Reminder, Hemsworth is a Vegan
Arnold only curled 50 lbs
>How could you possibly test hormone levels in a persons body?
Are you retarded?
i've never done anything like this before.
seriously, how long before you see results from it?
>heavier weight = bigger
there is no secret you idiot, lift big eat big cut if you get too fat
You do it with less weight you doofus.
That's got to be bullshit. I've been curling for only a moth and I'm already up to 70lbs.
I only use 20-35lbs when curling and I have 17-inch biceps. Strict form and no cheating and you don't need anything higher. Anyone that brags about how much they cheat curl is a fucking douche
>for only a moth
>month
You are free to make fun of me. Yes, I curl for my pet moth.
Enjoy having big muscles as strong as paper mache lmao.
based and wholesome. Cute moth I hope you make the little creature proud.
Not like anyone who lifts uses their muscles for anything anyway.
How do you guys curl? I do 3x12 hammer curls and 3x12 skull crushers with some pull-ups twice a week.
Sad, but true.
It's mostly just about aesthetics here on Jow Forums.
Not all that necessary. You can pretty much do this which will obviously help, but the big thing is to have constant engagement imo.
Incorporate short but heavy curl sets very frequently like 4 times a week or more. Arms are so often used you have to stimulate them more than almost any other muscle group
he seriously is the Aristotle of lifting shit and getting joocy
When i started again i did this
Got from my reduced power of 70% of my old maximums to 90% in 2 months.
Ive been doing the slow and steady road. So basically I slow curl 25 lb dummbells until I feel that burning sensation in my bicep.
I do this too. I press 50 lb dumbbells, then 45's, then 40's, and on resting periods I slow curl 25 lb dumbbells. I do this for like an hour. Then I move on to machines and shoulder press until failure, bicep curl machine until failure. I've made pretty good gains from doing this.
10kg bar with 2x15kg plates on it.
lifting caskets requires more than a 30lb curl..
>Come on boys! Lift with your biceps! Dont use your legs!
This.
Every time I see someone curling "heavy" they rock back and forth and put their whole fucking body into it.
Just target the muscles you're trying to target instead of trying to look cool, fuck.
Fucking beast well done.
Sounds like completely fucking bullshit
You literally do lift with your biceps you idjet . That's why 115lbs straight barbell curl is a standard for becoming a body bearer.
it is.
there are videos of arnold cheat curling 190 lbs. even if he wasn't cheat curling he could have lifted way more than 50.
>because he curls that in the image it means that's all he can curl
Baka
Honestly the very next week you should be able to do more as long as you eat and rest proper. If you're natty be sure you give that muscle group at least 4-5 days to fully recover while you're hitting other groups.
4U
That's dillon danis retard
Why do we need body bearers anyway? Why are militard such sensitive little babies that demand to be worshiped for doing picking a shitty career.
>Diogenes treated death with more dignity and manliness
>When asked how he wished to be buried, he left instructions to be thrown outside the city wall so wild animals could feast on his body. When asked if he minded this, he said, “Not at all, as long as you provide me with a stick to chase the creatures away!” When asked how he could use the stick since he would lack awareness, he replied “If I lack awareness, then why should I care what happens to me when I am dead?” At the end, Diogenes made fun of people’s excessive concern with the “proper” treatment of the dead.
I'm apolitical
imagine unironically looking like this
i cant even curl 20's but atleast I'm trying
is that his rear delt? what the fucks going on with his shoulders?
Are concentration curls EZ modo?
I've only been lifting for about 6 months and I curl 40. Surely with arms like that he can do more.
