>There are 3 things that people will find irresistible, in random order: having muscles, having a smile, having experience and being funny. You can do fucking everything when you have this 4 things. Me and you are social anxious, so it doesn't came out natural for us, but you can learn it.

test bump

Do you cry? I was in the middle of my routine and started to have tears, I wasn't sad, but I almost cried, I couldn't control it. It happened a few times before.

OKAY LET THAT THING GOING!
Lets get motivated.

Look around you at the average person. They are fat, lazy and hopelessly addicted to all sorts of vices.
So many people these days are pathetic shadows of their ancestors.
You may never be the greatest man to have ever lived but just by trying you are better than 99% of the people out there.
As long as you live your life with honour and discipline you are better than them and should feel that way.
I feel nothing but disgust for half the people I see on the streets, unwashed, fat or rail thin, skin coated in grease and acne.
They cannot care enough to take even the least care of themselves or their families.

still do it from time to time
I'm somehow emotional dead towards most things now due to I don't give a fuck anymore.
But sometimes it hits me....
The sad moment I have to realize that no one else care... and I care too much.

Attached: Because_no_one_else_care.png (2813x1521, 2.05M)

Motivation is NOT enough.
You need discipline.

t. former failure

Motivation is a false god.
Dedication is the only answer. Do it for yourself.

Dedication is a false god.
Discipline is the only answer. Do it.

Discipline is a small god.
Persistence is the true god.

Motivation is environmental and mental conditioning to improve your mindset. It's like taking supplements. Very important. Can't form habits without motivation. Can't maintain formed habits without motivation.

People will hate on you because "hurr durr you need motivation faggot".
Of course you do! everything starts with motivation, I still need it from time to time!

>discipline
good job discipline is a skill that can be built

Lads i had motivation and lots of discipline, but kind of lost everything when i got unemployed. Now its been a year and i got a gym membership last month and barely visit it. I am now lazy. gained 12kg and eat shit sometimes without realizing its nutrition information.

How do i get back in track? I am becoming the person whom I always hated

Attached: boichi (2).jpg (800x1149, 281K)

why do you want it ?

>We're into December, do you have any goals you want to achieve until the year ends?
I would like to keep going strong at the gym and not miss out on any sessions aroumnd the holidays. Also want to spend some good family time when my grandparents will be visiting for Christmas.

>Have you done anything you're proud of, lately, or even this year?
I started my own business this month.

>There are many bumps in the road, big and small, how did you soldier on through them?
I just do my best to push through, not a very emotional person so I can force myself to do stuff even when Im feeling down. There is also the bad side, that it is hard for me to feel genuinely happy and I take whatever success I have as granted without being able to stop and enjoy the moment. In addition, whenever it all becomes too much and the emotions do hit, they hit like a fucking train.

>Which people are supporting you, and which people in your life are you grateful for?
My mom. I no longer feel my friends as close as I used to, there is only one person which I think I genuinely enjoy being around and would abandon whatever I'm doing to hang out with him.

I dont want to feel like shit and wasted everytime i go to bed. I want to feel alive, make the best out of me, i want to earn respect again, I want to feel energy going through my body when i wake up, i want to feel happy, i want to smile again, fuck

So why not go to the gym ? Think about all these things when you decide not to leave your house and stay at home. Think about where it will lead you a year maybe 5 years down the road. You will look in the mirror and give everything to turn back the time but you wont be able to.

I was in your spot a few years ago, I lost 70lbs and am repping 1/2/3/4 pl8 now, I almost look like I always wanted and that natural and I went from being a failure at school to having a great masters degree and a very good job. If I didnt decide in that moment 5y or so ago that I was gonna change I would hate myself so much I cant describe it. And what keeps me going is the fact that I am far from done, I need to do so much more and I will.

Going alone to the gym makes me very uncomfortable. I isolated myself because i cut contacts with friends so i got socially crippled, i also lost my daily routine, I dont know which exercise i should do

I really like Shia Labeouf, this is so simple but has big meanings what he did. People may laugh at him for doing this video but he is my hero

Attached: Do_it_for_him.jpg (497x356, 45K)

>Going alone to the gym makes me very uncomfortable.
Good, then you can kill two birds with one stone and not only become jacked but also improve in social situations. Perfect.

> i also lost my daily routine, I dont know which exercise i should do
Bench, OHP, Squat, DL, Row, PullUps, Dips - choose a few of those and progress in weight. It is practically that easy, only important thing is showing up and giving your best.

I only hear excuses here user, none of these things mean anything, being uncomfortable is no excuse infact it is more a reason to do it anyway. All things in life worth a damn make you uncomfortable.

So go to the gym regardless, I am gonna let you in on a secret here nobody gives a flying fuck about you in the gym. People wont remember you unless maybe if you are a freak of nature who benches 4pl8+ then people might tell others about that crazy strong dude in the gym. Otherwise nobody will remember, because lets be real if you go to a random gym how many of the people you see there will you remember ? Chances are within 3 weeks you have forgotten everybody apart from that girl whose ass you stared at for 5min straight.

To add to that I can already pinpoint your main problem in life. you are feeling sorry for yourself and you put limitations on what you can achieve before you even go out there and give it an honest try. that's a victims mentality, if you cant get out of that you will always be a failure.

And getting out of that mentality is to not listen to what you tell yourself but just think what the person you want to be would do. Would that person be uncomfortable in the gym ? Would that person be stopped because he lost his routine ? I can tell you right now that person would find a way to overcome these minor hickups...

Thank you, screened this and i will try to do these steps after im done with work. I dont want to be sad anymore, seriously.

If you like reading, starting with the greeks can help reinvigorate you and fill you with spirit.

Yeah sure, but where i can find that stuff?

I'm traveling for a month, how to stay fit while no gym equipment?

google, most of the greek stuff is out there for free
e-book version can be found with 2 clicks.

bodyweight exercises, resistance bands. also a month is nothing you will be back to your old strength in no time.

> for a month
don't worry if it is just a month
do some body weight excercise and don't think too big about it
one month won't erase your training.

>mfw trying to take a cold shower when it's 7°C
How the fuck would anyone be able to do this?

Attached: 1473001749242.jpg (373x332, 45K)

getting the feets in the water right from the start when it is still cold
now you can start even colder than usually
turn down the temperature down 1°C every 30 seconds or so
slowly I reach 20-25°C which is a good start for the beginning

>Cold as fuck outside
>Can't do anything besides the occasional run because life
>Go out for a run, lose stamina way faster and end up coughing for breath
>Just breathing is painful because of the cold air and have to spit every second
God damn do I wish I had a running machine at home right now.

there was an user yesterday that told me to focus on the next 30 minutes of my life instead of its entirety to become productive.

I did exactly that and it worked like a charm, and it worked this morning too. I don't know if I've found the secret to changing my life, but I want to thank you user. You really pulled me out of my rutt. Thanks, wherever you are.

Resolutions:
>Read 40 books
>Get a new job and start paying off my credit card
>Paint all the Warhammer models I currently have
>Platinum 2 games
>Get a gym membership and finish the Athlean-X program I've been working on off and on
>Update my look

We're into December, do you have any goals you want to achieve until the year ends?

Mostly just finishing up my current job and getting things ready to move back home.

>Have you done anything you're proud of, lately, or even this year?

Last weekend I shaved my beard off and got a haircut. Gotten nothing but compliments about my new look. Also finally got my first platinum trophy ever. I know most people here will see that as pointless, but I felt good about it.

>There are many bumps in the road, big and small, how did you soldier on through them?

That's a lot of what I'm working on right now.

>Which people are supporting you, and which people in your life are you grateful for?

My family tries to support me, even though they don't understand everything I'm going through.

The temperature I was talking about is the outside temperature. Don't really have much control over the heat of the shower because its usually just warm to hot.

Guys, I need some advice.

I currently go to a European Community College for Engineering. I finish my course in June and I will be going to a proper University starting in September 2019. I go to CC on Tuesday and Wednesday. My studies are very important, I don't want to fuck up like I did High School and I have a University offer from one of the best schools in my Country. I am on track to meet my offer so I just need to hold out until the summer.

the problem is my job. I currently work at McDonald's 3 days per week. It's proper shit but I can kinda deal with it. My brother-in-law used to work at the same McDonald's I do years ago but now he's a manager at an insurance company. He says I should come work for him at a call center for the insurance company as it's a lot better, so he says and pays a lot more. I applied and I have an interview in 2 days. I'm really not feeling it anymore. I despise customer services and I try to work in the kitchen in McDonald's as much as possible to avoid it but lately they've been putting me on the drive-thru window a lot and man I'd rather be banging my head all day. But I know there's no avoiding customer services if I work in a call center. Also, I have to work full-time for the initial 10 week training period which I could probably handle but I hope it doesn't hurt my studies.

So my question is, do I take a leap of faith on my brother-in-law and work at the call center or stay where I am?

While this list is a decent start, I would recommend the Fitzgerald translations of the Iliad and Odyssey. On Nature by Parmenides is a shorter read that can be found online, and should be read after major Homeric works.

What’s the discord

wim hof actually helps more than you'd think

Threads no longer being shadowbanned?
Good.

Is wim hof just advanced hyperventilating? Because I think I did that in an icy shower but stopped when i lost all feeling in my limbs.

Guys, I recently began winter break and I now have the problem of not being able to wake up early. For 2 days in a. Row I've been sleeping for 11+ hours. I set 3 different alarms in different locations in my room and I have vague memories of turning them off and going off to bed when it's time to wake up. Any suggestions?

Attached: 1543807935643.jpg (910x716, 145K)

I have finally found out who I am on the most fundamental level and why I am a bit fucked up. And I can say ever since I find it incredibly easy to push myself above and beyond and have a totally different relationship with pain and suffering. Infact it only fills me with pride, sure it is still hard as fuck but I just feel indestructible at times. I think I have finally come to an answer to the question I asked half my life which is what is wrong with me and I found out I am simply destined to be great and it feels good to know that. I just have to follow my destiny and greatness lies infront of me.

First time I might actually be at ease with who I am and it feels good. I can run and just smile at the pain because I know that is what I was supposed to do.

I see so many news regarding wimhof at the moment that I am somehow see it the new upcoming hip and trendy meme thing for housewifes and these people.

Do the call center thing, especially if it will challenge you. Do it. Push yourself.
If you lift, you already have a supreme advantage in being a disciplined individual.
Put up with the bullshit you'll encounter. Excel at helping customers.
You will grow into management and go back to school on the company's dime. Then...you will get your MBA and join us in the upper echelons of the Corporate world.
You'll drive an Audi, own investment properties, have a big house, marry a wheyfu and have a big family.
You'll drive an Audi. You'll live the Goy dream.

Did I mention you get to drive an Audi?

Attached: Audi.png (358x222, 79K)

If I remember correctly, the Navy Seals recently adopted it as well. So I'd say it works quite well

I never thought of that. I'm always thinking in the long term, Cheers for the advice

If you need that sleep, by all means, sleep. Listen to your body. I wish i could sleep like that, 9 hours is my max.

B-But user, I got shit that needs to be done

Attached: 1543107132123.jpg (750x733, 66K)

What if you could solve all ur problems with lifting

You'd be Superman.

do the call centre job, the novelty will carry you through for a couple months and you wont hate it until summer, by which time your course will be done

poltards really think this

How do you deal with negative people at work?

>saw a cute girl in the gym today
>didn't get a good look at her, but looks like my type
>short, short hair, kinda cute face but i didn't get a good luck because i passed her by twice
>didn't catch her between sets
>we were the last 2 people in the gym, 5 min before closing and it would have been autistic of me to wait around
I will use the first opportunity i get to talk to her

did something happen in the last 10 hours?

Boys, have you ever told someone why you REALLY improve yourself?
Your higher goals you want to life towards, a higher meaning in life, become productive and a helpful member in the society?

How have people reacted?
So many blank stares...

Attached: 1529800504959.jpg (498x670, 108K)

Fuck me, 7, 8, 9 are the only ones I struggle with. Any hot tips? I get jealous when I see people I like having a conversation without me. which is pretty fucking dumb.

I have an A7
I love my car

get so depressed that all these normalfags are plebs and you won't have a problem not being in the middle all the time.

It really depends what type of character you are / kind of personality.

Pretend I don't like people? Great advice bucko, wonder why I don't ask the internet for help more often. Tschuss cunts xx

Tschau vollhonk :v

Come on read that line again, do you really think that was an legitimate advice?
> get so depressed that

how do I find purpose

Your purpose is to be in good physical condition, make those around you happy but most importantly better people and find someone who will do the same for you

Attached: uXQ73Z3_d.jpg (640x480, 36K)

One of the more complicated questions. I think "purpose" as you've seen in great leaders like Churchill or Genghis Khan, or wise men like Einstein or Tesla wasn't given or shown to them. I think they lived life, doing what they wanted the most and got into that position. We often associate purpose with important figures but theyre not different than us. Just by chance, they lived in the right times for their skills to be internationally recognized, especially skills that affected much of politics/science back then. Dont look at yourself and say "I have to become important", do what you love, what you have passion for. If you become famous, so be it. If not, does it really matter, as long as you lived life to the fullest?

Now a harder question is how to find a job you will love for the rest of your life, and that is where many fall. Im no expert but one advice I can give is that if you choose a field to study or work in, mostly for the money, you will get tired of it real quick. The money might be good, but you definitely don't live with a purpose.

> great leaders like Churchill

At a certain point in my life I got traumatized by something and slowly I became to live in a "responsible" way.
This means that I costantly made the "responsible" choice or what "society" (what I imagine is society) deemed best, instead of doing what suited me and my desires. Self-improvement didn't help in this regard. Some examples.

>I could choose between a comfy and easy online university or a really hard university. I only needed the degree for the legal value it hold in my country (I already work in the field). Of course one must always improve and challenge himself, right? So, I went to the hard university and the only thing I got is that now when I see an equation I almost puke and I don't have any degree at all
>decide to work as a freelance, but then do it on and off because I convince myself I need to be employed like all the others (despite having had very satisfied clients)
>I am able to train alone because I have experience (trained when young). Where I live now there is only one gym. It's okay but no free weights. It's also difficult for me to go there. I could've bought a power rack and some weight years ago and do a proper program, instead I went to the gym because it's the "right" thing to do according to society, so I can meet people and be a socialized guy instead of working out at home like an autist (of course never made a friend at the gym, despite the fact that in general I make friends easily). Still haven't bought the rack (using new excuses like "when I sell the closet", "when I land that new client in January")
>Decide to dress like a normal human being (spend money on clothes that fit well but are not comfy and even too tight on the legs, shoes I can't walk for hours with)

These are just some example easy to understand, but in general I lived all my 20s by doing not what I wanted but what seemed better long-term and by society's judgement. Complete failure. I wish I was able to make better choices.

Attached: 154403051887.jpg (1420x2033, 393K)

How do I regain competitiveness? I used to be ultra-competitive, but it also stopped me from trying new things, because I was scared of failure, embarrassment, even just not being the best at something or winning a competition, so I only ever did things I already knew I was good at. At some point I just gave in and accepted that I can not be the best at everything I do, so that kind of gave me the mindset needed to try new things, but ever since then I find that I am simply not trying hard enough or giving my best. Like I'm unconsciously thinking that if I don't even try it's okay to fail or be bad at something, but I still haven't accepted that it's okay to fail even if I try my best.

To nofap until new year (Cringe I know)
To be more comfortable with myself and actually feel good about how i look. Actually find some people who care about me and I can care about. So many fake bois in this world I feel I cant make a connection with most people. Here is to 2019 and continuing to better myself

it's actually kind of basic if you focus on the science
>deplete carbon dioxide whilst increasing oxygen
>flood with carbon dioxide
>repeat

youtube.com/watch?v=EWHRumILOOk

I do think a lot of mental effects of wim hof is placebo but a lot is valid

But what if these things make me happy?

>>I could choose between a comfy and easy
might have happen with online university too.
If you really NEED the knowledge int he field a proper uni is better I would say
If you only do it for some legal stuff you need and otherwise don't care, go for the easiest way.

>I am able to train alone ....it's the "right" thing to do according to society
throw out your view on "hat is right according to society"
chopping of your sons penis and giving him hormon blockers at the age of 10 is the "right thing" too
Sociaty is a mass of brainwashed sheeps.
Your path, our path is a path we will havo to walk alone.

Don't care too much to please the people.

>did something happen in the last 10 hours?
yellow moot and his team of no programmers did site maintenance that ended up running about 4 hours longer than they thought

>Boys, have you ever told someone why you REALLY improve yourself?
Your higher goals you want to life towards, a higher meaning in life, become productive and a helpful member in the society?

explained it to someone when we was on acid, she thought it was weird at first but then changed her mind to "we all have to create our own universes I suppose"

>We're into December, do you have any goals you want to achieve until the year ends?

I made a goal to finish writing my book by the end of this month and I finally did, now I'm just waiting for the copyright process and it's quite tedious and drawn out, but I'm just happy I made my own personal deadline

>Have you done anything you're proud of, lately, or even this year?

I achieved the best body I've ever had in my life and I'm maintaining it quite well. I also have been consistent with getting through 1-2 audio books a month since class is a 30 min drive.

>There are many bumps in the road, big and small, how did you soldier on through them?

Getting into the air force didn't work out as planned, and my relationship of 4 years came to an end, but it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would and I see now that I was only settling with someone with no goals or ambitions that just wanted to smoke weed all the time and be unproductive. I got some crying out and fapped it out like a man and just stayed consistent with the gym and the goals I set for myself. Staying busy with school/work/gym/book helped keep me sane.

>Which people are supporting you, and which people in your life are you grateful for?

My dad and best friend have been a huge help for me at this point in my life, I'm 24 so I'm in need of a lot of guidance and my dad has been nothing but a huge help for me. I love you dad, we weren't close growing up, but the time we spend together going out to eat once a week or so means the world to me.

Attached: 1539110331942.png (1293x1293, 1.61M)

you dont need to be able to make better choices, you need to make your own choices. doing things because "society" wants you to is weak and pathetic. why someone would ever give up on himself that much that he puts "societies" ideas infront of his own is beyond belief to me.

Resolutions:
>be 70kg and shredded
>read 15 books
>learn 2 songs to perfection on guitar
>develop a strong close group of friends

Hello, im autist as fuck and can't dance, very /fit tho. Tonight im going to a dance club.

How do i do not seem autist? Anything i can do there?

Sometimes I fake cry at night when I think about the things in my life that suck. It's kind of like the sas version of laughing at myself.

>Tonight im going to a dance club
Damn son pretty early with that post.

wobble with your knees and move slightly, the best you can do now in my opinion.
That or pic related.

Attached: do_it_anon.png (1024x378, 298K)

Get drunk.
You don't need to know sick dance moves to look good on the dance floor, you just need to move to the rhythm with confidence, and the alcohol helps you get that confidence.
You're not going to look like a dance god, but you'll blend in nicely with everybody else.

>s-stop recommending people to rely on alcohol!!
It's a short term solution that works for me, if you actually want to improve your dance skills you should take a class or study some youtube videos.

thanks for help. i will probably get drunk (rip gains) and try to survive with the knees

Not those anons, but if everyone is jumping in unison go along with them.

great doesn't always mean good.

it's not something I do consciously, just like anyone I think I'm fully aware of my choices when I make it. Only recently I noticed the pattern.

I've been in a stupid cycle of going to bed at 5am, waking up at 2 pm, going to bed by 5am, up at 2pm etc etc.

Commiting now by having slept until 7pm. Goal is to go the to gym like normal(24/7 gym), get my cals during the night, and stay awake until like 11am, take a nap for like 3 hours and then go to bed very tired at like 10-11pm.

That's my autistic plan to fix my sleep schedule over 48 hours. Thoughts guys?

Lads, need some help, I can’t get over my ex, we broke up like a month ago but I can’t stop thinking about her, no matter how much i lift or try to get distracted i just can’t stop thinking about her

What made her so special that you can't let go?

When we first met, i was very quiet and in a sense i always kept away from people and would put walls as a defense mechanism. But even after all this she was still there for me, she really liked me and she took down my “walls” now i told her at first that there was nothing i could offer her, and even after this she talked to me and was with me because she just simply liked me, who i was, and it’s going to be hard finding someone like that. She took the time to get to know me, unfortunately we just drifted away

she got bored of you?

I got a new job, and we just had like opposite shifts, and i knew this would happen, we just never had time to talk again, and well it was bound to happen desu, i just can’t get over her, and i was prepared for this but i guess not
