Well said. And to add on to this, the misconceptions of stuff like muscle loss is based around this different eof actual muscle growth vs the pump. Actual muscle fiber takes a long time to be lost, whereas the sarcoplasmic fluid from hypertrophy training can be greatly depleted in a week

Yeah it sounded weird but he’s right, just fucked up the terminology. There’s two kinds of hypertrophy. There’s the pump which is achieved from high reps and is sarcoplasmic fluids(blood, glucose), and then there’s strength training which breaks down and rebuilds new and bigger muscle fibers.

you don't have to train for strength to break down the muscle fibers you just have to be using enough weight to stress your muscle
