For a cut this is the dumbest thing to do as effort will be lower in training, so glycogen stores do not get depleted as much. Avoiding meat will likely diminish protein intake if not controlled for, which will result in losing more of the muscle mass you gained during the bulk. The fat in meat (fat generally) also has less of a tendency to be stored in adipose tissue than carbohydrates, so there really is no reason to avoid meat unless you gorging on it puts you in a caloric surplus
