5 pulls ups 8 chinners
pull ups be hard

Haven't tested my chinups in a while, but my max pullups was 20. So not too much farther than you user, you'll get there soon. Once you get above 15 it's more important to do weighted anyway, so you won't be testing your unweighted as often.

How do I get better? Can barely crank out any

Assisted pullups/chinups if your gym has these machines.
If not, deadlifting/rows for pull ups and plain old curls for chin ups.

How heavy are you

13 pullups

5 pull ups and 8 chinups I weigh 230

20+ pull/chin-ups
8-10 pull/chin-ups with 30lbs

5 decent form pullups, chins r gay. i weigh 200, and use a small amount of momentum at the bottom. trying to quit that shit but i'm weak

I made 15 in a row my pr 2 months ago. Tried today and it was still 15, but the difference was i wasnt on pre workout. Could potentially have been more. Idk about chinnies, havent tried but shits way easier

Chinups are bad for your tailbone.

Source: me

Overhand pull-ups (strict): my pr is 28

Chin-ups: don’t do chin-ups pr, only close grip 10x4on shoulder day

+55lbs for 4x8 at 181lbs
Haven't done AMRAP on pullups since I could do them with added weight

When I did them regularly I could do 10 dead hangs with 35 lbs, which is nothing amazing. But they make my tendonitis flare up like no other exercise so I've had to remove them from my programming, which sucks because I love pullups. I still do a set or two of bodyweight ones every now and then to make sure I can still crank them up. Maybe one day I can start doing them regularly again.

just keep at it.

in a few days your muscles will adjust to the new movement and you'll be able to do a few. keep at it and very soon you can do a full set. when i first started i could barely manage one.

I just started lifting for the first time about two months ago and I've been making progress on everything except chin ups. I'm supposed to be doing two sets of 8 to 5 rep every other workout (doing the sean10mm ss variant in the sticky,) and I'm able to hit 8 on the first set every time but I'm able to do fewer on the second set than when I started. when I started I was doing 8+7 and now I'm down to 8+4. I was 180 when I started and I'm 192 now. 6'4" btw.

Lose weight

when i was 19 i could do 30+
now i can do 4

8 chin-ups with 35lbs
6 pull-ups with 35lbs
I weigh 175lbs

I should mentioned I have been stuck plateaued here forever.
