Of course i could have still eaten carbs and lost 70lb but the fact i can drop carbs and drop weight is proof that low carb is just as effective as any other method. I dont get cravings if i eat low carb, if i eat moderate carbs i get crazy cravings so for me low carb is the best method, i dont know why its a competition, if low carb works for you then do it, if moderate carbs work for you then do that, or high carbs or whatever, everyone is different, stop trying to ‘win’ at something that nobody but yourself is competing in.

I'm experienced enough and open minded enough that i actually try these things without being dogmatically for/against. ive done several "ketogenic" diets in one form or another:
The "anabolic diet" which was just a repackage cyclical ketogenic diet
a classical ketogenic diet with high fat, modern protein, low/no carb
modified keto
and finally a Protein Sparing Modified Fast.
Rather than bore with personal experiences, i will just say that the vast majority of individuals involved in "fitness" at any level fail to have noteworthy results because they will spend most of their lives trying to avoid very basic but crucial principles.
When it comes to building muscle/strength, progressive overload is a iron principle. Many guys seem to forget this or try to dance around it, which is why they have good results for the first 6 months and then nothing at all for the rest of their adult lives. Some of those men then turn to steroids, and the results of which can be seen in any number of "you roided for this?" physiques on Jow Forums. Because those same individuals still dont apply progressive overload.
Similarly, in dieting, caloric reduction is an iron rule. Regardless of whatever nonsense is written anywhere, every successful diet is a product of caloric reduction. Do you know why a protein sparing modified fast produces such rapid and sustain fat loss? its not because eating only lean protein unlocks some magic metabolism, its because you're only eating 800 fucking calories.
Failure to apply crucial principles is what leads to wheel spinning and poor results. Most of the "keto changed my life reddit!" retards are still fat 10 years later. And to top it off, it is increasingly being found that ketogenic diets induce insulin resistance over the long term, LOL.
