Are these Russian bots?

>Are these Russian bots?
Probably not. (Although some of the NPC accounts may have been automated, there is no sign that Russia is involved in this.) Mostly, it appears to be a Jow Forums joke that spiraled into some mild voter suppression.

I shit you not, the npc meme has gone so far that the new york times think that the russians are behind it.

>it's another "the Russian hackers are behind this" episode
>like the Cold War never truly ended

>Jow Forums joke that spiraled into some mild voter suppression
this also sounds ridiculous
mild voter suppression? what does that even mean? why do they think everything is about politics and out to get them?

Little do they know that the hacker known as Jow Forums is behind this operation

>it appears to be a Jow Forums joke that...
Bots are real m8, you weirdos fetishise Jow Forums too much

Apparently memeing on them is suppressing them.

>"the NPC meme is bad because it's dehumanizing"
>the people (NPCs) spouting this call anyone who disagrees with them a Russian bot
They're so adorable

>be libshit
>be absurdly paranoid about Russians
>aggressively advocate communism
justlibshitthings

the russians are behind everything. of course this couldn't be organic in any way.
who believes it? lets find out.

>Organic

Orogonal

First Pepe was catapulted to the mainstrain because of politics and now it happened to Wojak.

Why is it always politics?

But then Jow Forums took back Pepe by getting him labeled as a hate symbol.

Bots may be involved at some level but never underestimate the power of a forced memer. I've seen tons of them over the years on this site shilling the same stupid ass meme for months and then finally it catches on. For instance the "high test" meme was originally one fucking idiot who started on Jow Forums and it took him almost 2 years and thousands of posts for that fucktarded meme to catch on. Forcing a meme often eventually works given enough dedication.

naturally, never underestimate the power of persistence and autistic dedication

I remember when people got butthurt when normies first started using Pepe and started making edits with gross poo to disgust the normies so they'd stop using it.
It wasn't very effective.

Then Jow Forums comes along and turns it into a hate symbol and normies fear it.

"normies" dont understand how chan memes work anyway so don lemon can blow nazi frogs out his ass and it's the word of providence

The rare Pepe craze is what really got normies into it.

>concretely linked to Russian intelligence
>shown they use social media like Jow Forums
>you swallow it up

that was a brilliant spin
kudos to the guy that came up with that

>concretely linked
Where is the study/article/public statement?
>shown they use social media like Jow Forums
For what fucking purpose?

>Get the hacker known as Jow Forums to meme it
Free propaganda spreading machine, this shithole is not as obscure as you think

>why would they use social media to spread a message

>be Russian r9k poster
>mfw I'm an actual Russian bot

Im russian, our propaganda force is heavily focused on our own social medias, usually twitter and news sites. Some claim to see them on our imageboards, but I highly doubt it, since they gain absolutely nothing out of it. What is the point targeting site that is used by less than a hundred Russians?

>What is the point targeting site that is used by less than a hundred Russians
Jow Forums is the most active Jow Forums board, and they aren't targeting Russians

Wait, so you think retarded ultra conservative fucktards are bots? Have you heard about views and opinions?

Twitter deleted Jow Forums NPC accounts because they were giving people the wrong date of election day, which counts as voter suppression
