Do bathroom weight scales measure BF%, Bone and Water mass to any accurate degree?

nah user to weigh yourself properly you need to see a physicist weekly who can count and estimate your amino acid and bullshit molecule count, truly the most effective method
yeah of course these scales measure to a decent degree of accuracy you retard
Well fuck me for asking I guess, was just curious because I wanted to have accurate data for a new routine I'm starting.
Why are you pretending to be me?
I'm asking for people's experience, you faggot cunt. i.e. are they inaccurate or imprecise? Is there a linear trend to the margin of error, or is it worse for low/high BF% individuals?
Don't trust the scale on metrics such as bf% and bone density. It is purely a weight scale. Even that has a margin of error but if you're using the same equipment you can track the trend. A proper body fat measurement needs different equipment, at the very least you can use calipers, or you can find a clinic that will do water displacement or other tests to ESTIMATE bf%. Again, the important thing is how it trends over time.
This isn't OP this is just some jackass
I was curious about bf% but I really just need it to precisely calculate my weight would the scale I linked be decent enough for that
Thanks! If it's consistently biased, that's no problem. I may resort to calipers, but I'm going to be playing around with my weight pretty drastically for the next 6 months, so I wanted something to track some body composition changes.
Not even remotely similar grammar as me.
Not much more accurately than looking in a mirror or checking the color of your pee. Honestly man, you don’t really need a scale unless you’re too fat to see changes in body composition.
yea some guy was acting to be me in my thread too, shits weird
t. flaming faggot
do you have nothing better to do than derail my thread
I'm dubious about stuff like this. Consumer grade medical equipment is not very accurate. Plus all you need to get your bf% is a scale and measuring tape. If you want to be really autistic about it you can do a water displacement test in your bath tub too.
Any good recommendations for a high quality scale above the "consumer grade". Not gonna purchase one till I know it's gonna be accurate enough for my new routine.
You dumb shit I saw a thread earlier today where someone was pretending to be OP. Are you getting off to this or something.
Triple beam balance. Gold standard for more than a century.
I mean you can get a beam scale but those run up to over $200. There are better things to spend your money on. Just get a normal scale and some vinyl measuring tape and follow this link:

Appreciate the help, definitely bookmarking that site for when I need it. Probably won't get around to messing with it until tomorrow.
God-damned right it is. Moment arms all up in this bitch.
They are good enough to be used to monitor your weight and bodyfat %. Its not 100% perfect but if you use it consistently along with using your eyes and you not being a moron then its good enough. It may be off with 2-3% but if its consistent then there is no reason you couldn't use it to track your progress.
Doubt.
>Do bathroom weight scales measure BF%, Bone and Water mass to any accurate degree?
No. They're overpriced toys. Get a real DXA scan, get dunked, or get skin-calipered. Everything else is worthless shit.
At one point, mirror said 12-16%, caliper said 8%, bf scale said 24%. Really really really don't trust the scale's bf %
Even DXA isn’t really that accurate. It’s just a little more accurate than bod pods, which are a smidge better than bod pods. Just look in the mirror. Cut until your tits and gut go away, then lift until you have capped shoulders.
*smidge better than calipers
