Hey Jow Forums newfag here, i know you will all think its a new years thing but i just had an inspiration spark (yeah, a pussy) and i want to get fit.
I weigh 100kg and my height is 1.78cm, so obese but not totally a slob.
Whats your best advice for a newbie? i've never gotter into nutrition or exercise so im lost as to where to start

Fasting is a meme and unsustainable. It's easier to quit drinking and eat more salads. Stop drinking sugary drinks and drink a gallon of water a day.

One to three meals a day, no snacks. No refined vegetable oils. No sugar without fiber, except maybe dessert after dinner once or twice a week.

i started at an disgustingly obese 175kg and could barely move in the beginning so this is not entirely applicable to you, but...
i just started doing little bodyweight exercises... literally flailing my arms and legs around mostly until i was able to do more "real" stuff.

for starters i'd suggest just eating smaller portions and less calories over the day (obviously), drinking more water and moving around every time you get the chance to do so for whatever reason.
make an effort to REALLY get in the habit of moving around a lot every single day... THEN start thinking about workout plans and clean nutrition.

once you're completely in the mindset of regularly getting of your ass and really wanting to better yourself, it will be easy to keep going.
most people that fail their diets etc. just want quick results after an "inspiration spark" as you call it. don't fall into that trap. it'll make you even fatter if you do.

Are 24 hour fasts worth it? Was thinking doing fast every sunday and weekend fast bimonthly next year. Beginner fattie here too and not focused on gains yet.
