They did a long term study with 2 groups, one did natural lifting three times a week, trained every muscle group twice a week and ate healthy and enough food.
The second group did fuck all and ate potato chips while sitting on the couch, guess who had the most strength and most muscle mass at the end?

Mate, I've been lifting for close to a decade, I work out 5x a week, hitting two body parts each day. I lift heavy constantly. I almost never eat off diet. I can tell you what I ate on this day 2 years ago, because it was the same shit I ate today. It takes that to maintain what I have naturally, 210lbs 10%bf at 6'.
Whereas there is a guy who goes to my gym. He is an amateur competitive bodybuilder. He lifts less than half the weight I do, at half the intensity, yet looks significantly 'better' by bodybuilding standards. Luckily for me I don't give a shit about looking like a bodybuilder, so don't care. If I did, you can bet your ass I'd just jump on roids and laze about in the gym talking for 2 hours like he does.
Yes you have to train well to look good on roids, but you do not have to train anywhere near as well as you do to hit the natty limit.
