What the point of lifting ? Yes you might become the guy that can pull a truck but isn't calistenics and BWF is better all around?
>Free and can be done at home >General cool progression that will stay with you for almost a life time >Better for health / flexibility >More impressive to the bitches >Don't give you gross oversized legs but rather ninja athletic body. >Saves time
>Free and can be done at home Free is only a concern if you're legit poor. Can be done at home is stupid, so can weight training. However, a huge positive benefit of having a gym is the social aspect, if you disagree you're socially retarded. >General cool progression that will stay with you for almost a life time Progression takes fucking years and isn't as cool as you think Source: I can do most levers, not planche though, but w/e. >Better for health / flexibility lolwat.jpg >More impressive to the bitches Literally no, enjoy being a skinnyfag with abs. >Don't give you gross oversized legs but rather ninja athletic body. Juicy legs is something bitches like. Ninja athletic body? No. You'll be skinny most likely. Protip, look at the top calisthenic people, they're very good looking desu but these guys are making a living out of it - you're not. You are almost guaranteed to look worse than them (i.e. skinny). >Saves time No. Takes longer to get anywhere with callisthenics. Growth, strength, progression, impressiveness to general pop, power output... literally everything takes longer.
Calisthenicz is shit tier and I guarantee you haven't thought this through or trained for long enough to make the suggestion that it is somehow superior.
If you are extremely drawn towards movements that do not involve external weights get into gymnastics. When I say get into gymnastics I mean go join a gymnastics gym.
Calisthenics is the weightlifting equivalent of buying two really light weight dumbbells to keep in your moms basement and pretends its the same as going to the gym.
You suck.
John Bennett
Enjoy your bull legs
Bentley Martinez
Ouch. You got me there.
Zachary Richardson
>What the point of lifting ? Because its fun and makes me look better. Stop trying to be the big brain all the time, you'll be much happier.
Jose Jenkins
i dont understand how this is meant to be offensive
Ian Robinson
>implying I don’t want the lower body of a thicc female volleyball player to go along with my muscular torso You are sadly mistaken my friend. But other than that big legs is what really makes you look powerful. You can go out and see guys with big upper bodies and no legs all the time, have you ever seen a dude with the full package? He looks like he’d run through the first guy.
Are you Awkward Penguin, OP? Suffer from so-called 'social anxiety disorder'? Shun being around real people, spend all your time on the internets? Guess what, OP: you're fucking up.
Heard of 'no fap'? Here's a new one for you: >No-'net That's right. You need to swear off the Internet completely for at least a month. Spend that time intentionally being social with actual people, live and in person. TALK to them. You're not properly socialized and it will ruin your life if you allow that to continue.
Part of this regimen of treatment for your condition is going to a real gym. You must do this thing.
Start today.
Grayson Wood
>t. fatty who can't do 5 pullups
Nicholas Garcia
Fpbp
OP's boipussy wrekt
Easton Miller
There's benefits to both, just depends on what you want to improve on the most, I prefer weights cus I want to gain mass and it's got an easy progression line (increase weight)
Andrew Nguyen
because it's fucking impossible for someone to do less volume on their lower body than on their upper body, right?
Ian Ross
>whats the point of lifting To be able to protect this smile.
Be that as it may, calisthenics gives a physique that sexy beautiful women love whereas iron gives a physique that bros love. And fat chicks. *mike drop*
Henry Wright
Ideally you should train a bit of everything. But if you want aesthetics use weights
Jaxon Edwards
Lifting weights doesn't mean you'll become a bloatlord. That depends on your routine and diet.
If you have access to weights, use them. Otherwise you are gimping yourself. Even simple stuff like pull ups and dips are better weighted.
Dylan Cruz
>>More impressive to the bitches >he thinks thots care about dragon flags more than bench >he thinks thots care about anything physical beyond looking good
>pretending any of the retards on Jow Forums doing weights are jacked
Bentley Bennett
Nice boobies
Jacob Flores
have you ever railed a fatty? if not, pick that mic back up, kiddo
Chase Rodriguez
>However, a huge positive benefit of having a gym is the social aspect >talking to randos at the gym i hope you dont do this user.. prob one of those gym clique fags who sits around talking for 2 hours and lifts up some dumbbells now an then
Sebastian Gray
If you can’t actually provide a real argument, it means I’m right.
There’s nothing wrong with your gay gymnastics hobby, user. Except that it’s for moronic faggots.
Noah Price
It's okay, but you'll never look strong. The guy in your photo wouldn't even look like he worked out if he was wearing a T-shirt. Also, he would be in trouble if he ever actually needed to move something heavy.
Lucas Phillips
Fallacy fallacy.
Asher Miller
>small >look small in a large shit >look small in a medium shirt >look small in a small shirt >have to wear extra small XS shirts
Carson Bailey
>That bracelet and fag hair
Sebastian Cook
do both
Wyatt Ortiz
>enjoy being a skinnyfag with abs That's what women want
Jacob Gutierrez
I can do twenty at 6'1" 200lbs
John Murphy
Im 161lbs 182cm and i fill small easily but get absolutely lost in medium
Grayson Ross
that being said, im actually doing calisthenics atm as I am staying with family for Christmas. 4x20 push ups, 4x20 incline(?) pushups, a ton of pull-ups on the side of the garage and pistol squats by the pool as well as some ab stuff. is there any calisthenic shoulder movements that dont require me to do a handstand?
Zachary Gonzalez
if you're not doing both you'll never make it
compound lifts + weighted calisthenics
Austin Cruz
I do both. Lifting gets boring so i'm pushing towards more and more calistenics
Ryder Moore
I'm primarily an /out/ kind of guy, so calisthenics seems like the best option for me.
