>Go the gym >Last exercise of then day doing deadlifts on texas method. >Not even strong but honestly stronger than like 75% of people in my gym. >As I'm finishing my warmup boomer comes up to me and yells at me for dropping weights after finishing a rep. >Keep in mind these are bumper plates on a lifting platform. >After I finish my working set ANOTHER boomer comes up to me and complains. >Ignore him and leave cause I'm finished anyways.
So what's the consensus on dropping weights when doing deadlifts? Do lower them carefully like a little girl, or let em fly?
don't be the histrionic faggot dropping his deadlifts
Julian King
Control the eccentric til it's past your knees, then you can drop it.
Josiah Perry
>Ignore him and leave cause I'm finished anyways I'm sure you were user. I'm sure this didn't just happened and you didn't run home to tell your internet friends about it.
Luis Bell
You sound like an insecure faggot that likes to lift more weight than he can handle
Isaac Ward
Projecting your autism on others, bad move brother
You control the weights down to the floor. If you cannot do this, they are too heavy for you to lift in the first place.
Xavier Foster
>go to gym >5am >do deadlifts >couple of the five people there at 5am look over but say nothing >finish my set and move on to the next workout My gym doesn't even have bumper plates. Don't just drop your fucking lift either faggot, control your descent.
Daniel Ross
This is the only correct answer. Controlled descent. It’s still loud but way the fuck less loud and more importantly it’s part of your workout
Connor Fisher
if you fully drop the bar from the top by letting it go, youre a dumb nigger you need to control the descent at least a little bit, your hands should be on the bar the whole set
Luis Williams
Dropping last rep, fucking lul. Put down your last rep slowly and get them peak gains ya noodle
Kayden Richardson
>Too stupid to check the routine to see if I'm lying or not. Moron.
Jackson Flores
Why you such a puss?
Yeah obviously you’re probably the retard here, you need to lower them in a controlled way but they’re going to clang regardless
Tell them fuck off im trying to work out here this is a gym go to planet fitness
Yeah don’t slam the weights and don’t be an obnoxious shithead but just tell them dude your in a gym fuck off
Nathaniel Foster
If you can't lower it down slowly it means it's too heavy for you.
Julian Russell
dropping weights (the last 1-2" or so) is ok, no need to be careful like a little bitch just don't drop them from the lockout position and it's fine
Brody Carter
On an unrelated note. >go to gym today >actually a little crowded >go to the dumbbell rack and get a bench for some dumbbell presses >look over to the one squat cage in the whole damn gym >a couple of douchebags are actually curling in the cage with the barbell >10lbs on each side and they're doing fucking cheat curls I didn't think this shit actually happened.
but why would i waste my energy on the concentric retard id rater do 3 more eccentric reps. i want to get stronger, not become a home appliance with "whisper quiet" as a selling point
Aaron Diaz
I lower the weight somewhat controlled as far as possible without tiring out too much, and then drop it the last bit with my hands still on the bar. When people look annoyed or when I feel like it I also sometimes drop the bar from higher up or push down on the bar whilst dropping it so it hits the diddly platform much harder and louder. I also do this with OHP when I just drop the bar into the pins from a few inches above, its very satisfying at the end of a heavy set
